Craftsman Evolv  200 pc. Mechanics Tool Set

Waist of money. Tools have a very cheap feel, sockets fall out all the time, and just know that your getting mostly 12 point sockets in the sizes you use most on automotive uses. and you rarly see a 12 point. poor choice in socket types craftsman. and the tools feel real, real cheap. As another said in a review, i cant believe they put there name on this set.

I ordered this set to do some maintanance to my vehicles. It arrived and looked much better than expected. I was under the assumption that there would be no case with this set of tools, but was plesantly surprised to see it does come in a rather nice locking case. Only one small hex bit was incorrect (2 of same), and the variety of sized and drives is convenient. As a prior review stated, the handle grips are not the best. They are good, but not when you are trying to use them with a breaker bar, or getting them filthy trying to undo rusted bolts, ect. Mine are now dingy and have a few gashes in them, but have held up well. The actual ratchets seem to be the standard good Craftsman parts, which is a plus, and the wrenches and sockets seem to be just as good also. The foam inbetween the 2 halves is pretty thin, and if the wrenches and tiny socket spots were thought out a little better you wouldnt need it in the first place. Just have to be mindful not to throw it around upside-down.

THIS TOOL SET IS WELL WORTH THE PRICE.  IT HAS ALMOST EVERYTHING YOU WILL NEED FOR YOUR HOME REPAIRS AS WELL. COMES WITH A LIFETIME WARRANTY EXCEPT THEY CANNOT REPLACE INDIVIDUAL PIECES (WE WERE TOLD) SO NEED TO EXCHANGE WHOLE SET.  ALTHOUGH WE HAVENT HAD TO REPLACE ANYTHING THAT WOLD BE THE ONLY DOWNFALL I COULD THINK OF.

I purchased this tool set for my son as a starter set of tools for him and his new job. I did quite a bit of research looking for tool sets in this price range and found this to be the best equipped in that range. The tools are good quality. This would be an excellent starter kit as well as a boost to any mechanics tool set.

I like the set, but I bought this in the store yesterday, then I come online to find the item priced $10.00 less than i just paid for it, fell rather ripped off from that stand point, also the case doesn't hold the tools in place and broke at the hinges the second time i opened it.  I do like the grips on the handles of the tools, but some essentials for me are missing such as swivels and a few more extentions, I wouls have more to say about the tools if I had used the tools for a longer period than two days.

I just got this set as present! Was very excited until I saw the metro color and I thought maybe I could move past it so I opened the case to find tools displaced in the case and a few of the Hex head tools Bent!!   I closed the box back up and picked the case up and heard the sockets and wrenches fall out of place.  Grips on the Pliers are terrible for working with!  I've always been a fan Craftsman but i can't believe they put their name on this set, but at least that means they have a lifetime warranty!   Quick Fix for keeping the tools secure, get a thicker foam insert!   Definitely not a mechanics tool set  mainly geared toward women and light use around the house, grips harder to use and clean..      But It was the thought that counted though!

Had to cut out a 1/4 in. thick carpet from a floor mat to place on the bottom  so when you close it the wrecches and sockets stay in place. Other than that, I use these tools to work on my car  and other misc. things around the house. Good quality!

Save your money and get yourself a genuine Craftsman tool set.  This was a Christmas gift from a well-meaning friend.  First Evolv tools I tried to use didn't even last the day.  Look nice to some folks (mostly females) but very poor quality steel.  No strength at all.  In other words, typical el cheapo Chinese ****.  Pretty to women but useless.  Set returned and refund received.  Friend is still a friend but should never try to buy a man real tools ever again.  End of story!!!

This is a nice tool set for the price (picked it up on sale around Christmas time). It's nice to see a set come out from Craftsman that is updated with soft grips and some color...not important to some but its nice... Some of the tools do fall out when you open and close the case, but I've yet to see a set of anything (that has weight to it) that holds every last thing in...that's gravity for you...if its going to really bug you, I'd say to invest in a tool chest of some sort as there are alot of pieces here, so I'm sure it will get frustrating over time.. Overall we are very happy with this purchase!
