You don't have to spend a lot to prove that you care a lot. Show how much you care this holiday season by taking the time to build a holiday basket. See how.

1. Start by cutting 2 pieces of 1x10 at length of 12" .
2. Make a Christmas Tree template out of cardboard.
3. Use your template to trace a Christmas Tree onto a piece of 1x10. (Note: Make sure bottom of the tree is flat to allow for basket to sit properly on table.)
4. Cut out shapes on both pieces with a jigsaw.
5. Line up the 2 Christmas tree cutouts and clamp them together and drill the hole for your wooden dowel using a ¾" Forstner bit. (Note: Use a scrap piece of wood on the bottom to minimize tear out.)
6. Clean up all cuts with sandpaper and paint the tree-shaped sides green.
7. Next cut 9 pieces of screen molding at 12" long.
8. Cut ¾" dowel to 12". Apply stain to both the dowel and screen molding.
9. Assemble basket by gluing and nailing the screen molding to the sides. Space them evenly around the basket.
10. Slide ¾" dowels into holes and you're ready to use your Christmas Tree Basket.
