Original filter lasted so long I had to read the installation instructions. Remember to remove this paper filter when using as wet vac.

As a universal filter this one works just fine. I was worried that I could no longer purchase a filter for my dust vac that has lasted over 15 years. I was relieved to find this one that fits right in and can filter the air.

This filter works great on the garage floor dirt. It does get plugged up with drywall dust. Needing a tapping out.

Best basic filter there is for the Craftsman Wet/Dry Vacs, but.......... Although the idea for the rubber top is good, I find that I still use the wing nut that originally came with the vac to hold the filter in place. The reason why I started to put the nut on to hold the filter in place is because I have found, several times, the filter in the bottom of drum. It had fallen off the filter cage sometime between uses. Not good for the life of the vac and motor.
