UM.....not very great engineering.

First off, I own quite a bit of Craftsman tools, they are pretty good for the most part. BUT....this tool in poorly designed in my opinion. The components are actually good quality. The shaft that holds the socket/bits is sturdy and I could see it holding up to a lot of torque....probably last a long time. The knurled ring that goes around the shaft is also sturdy, easy to grip and has great knurling. Here is the problem.....both the grip and the shaft do not have a locking fit. Yes......both are round and the only thing that keeps the shaft ring from turning on the shaft is GLUE..........WTF???? I took this tool home and tried it........THE RING STARTED SLIPPING ON THE SHAFT. No, I did not apply a ton of torque. Craftsman should have used the same design, BUT they should have used a locking fit. Pretty dumb engineering if you ask me.

Overall
light and simple

Light and simple says it all, the grip edge is huge also. I often use an extension bar for this purpose, but these fit in tight spots better and are lighter. Also they have the female option to put a driver in them. I wish there was a 1/2 one, but I think sears has a bigger one.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Craftsman Finger Grip Socket Adapter was exactly what I, wanted

Thes little guys are great for tight places where the screw, nut, or bolt is too tight to turn with ones fingers but too loose so a ratchet will not work.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

great for tight spaces

This works really well in tight spaces and can attach a 1/4" socket to the opposite side if you have the space to give you better leverage.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great for tight, hard to get places!

I was so glad that I found these. They are great for hard to get to places that you can get you fingers in but not a big screwdriver. These are inexpensive for the value. Great for automotive, motorcycles and ATV's in the tight places. All types of screwdriver bits you use with your cordless drill will fit in one end and 1/4" drive extension in the other. The color coding has made it easy for me to identify different bits used. You'll buy more than one, I did.
