I wasn’t sure about the Craftsman Tool Kit Organization considering I would be the one cutting the foam out to match my tools. The “sticky” paper does not come with the pretty pictures seen on the package so I had to draw my own outlines of my tools. I did give it a try and surprisingly with the small razor provided with the kit was able to cut the pieces out quite nicely. I did have to sharpen the blade between drawers. The “sticky” paper held nicely to the foam as I was doing the cutting. This kit allows customization of drawers up to 26" (I believe) but just as nicely is customable to smaller drawers as seen in my pictures. My only complaint is that once the holes are cut, there is nothing between the bottom of the drawer and tool which resulted in my purchasing the foam roll as well to protect both. All in all I am impressed with the simplicity of this product and would recommend it to friend.

Works great for organizing tool box drawers. Have used several of these in the past. The knife that comes with is not the greatest - I use a sharp Xacto knife for better results. Half the cost of the same item on Grainger's website. Excellent delivery time too !!!

it took me several days to get all of my screwdrivers, sockets, crescent wrenches, etc cut out. BUT when you finish your toolbox will be absolutely gorgeous! So if you have the time, the patience, and the OCD to make it all worth it, then absolutely go for it!!

Sears is the only local store to carry tool control foam. This foam is not as rigid as I'd like, it doesn't have a backing layer, and it's hard to cut. The cutting tool that comes with it is dull. I used an xacto knife and a utility knife. Other than that it works pretty good. I bought some foam at Hobby Lobby to use as a backing layer and super glued it on. I also cut some of the cut outs in half in order for some of the thinner tools to be up higher in the foam so they were easier to pick up. It did work very good for the top tray in my toolbox though.

I have used this style of organization in the military as an aircraft mech. All! tools MUST be accounted for at the end of any job. I Just read a review of using baby powder and a rotor, to go one step further I plan to use my Rotozip and a 1/8 inch bit. Another great space saver is to lay your wrenches on edge side by side in one group, and cut the space snug. At the end of the job if there is a rattle or space in the area then something is missing. The same can be done for your sockets is a long tapered cut out row, instead of individual holes. Yes this is all time consuming, but if you get creative and make groups for your ratchets and screw drivers it will be well worth it.

Lots of people complain about the effort involved with cutting out your blanks. Tips through out the trace paper, layout your tools the way you want them, dust over tools with baby powder (very lite its a reference), trace shadow with wide sharpie, compare lines with tool and adjust as needed, use a router with 1/4in bit set at almost 1/2in deep. There, Hours Saved! If you can't come up with the router buy an exacto knife and just trace tool and cut. (if you can find 1/8in bit buy it for your screw drivers)

Yeah, maybe it is a bit expensive. But it is well worth it when you want to take the time and show that you have pride and integrity in what you do... This is a great product, and I will continue to buy this whenever I need to reshadow a toolbox. I would rather spend the money and take the time to cut out this foam instead of some other cheaper option. I have attached a couple of photos of my tools in the foam. Thank you Craftsman for a great product.

Excellent product for the money. Used it to shadow two drawers in my Classic 78 box. Definitely will be buying more of this stuff for my other drawers. It's really rather cheap compared to other places. The foam seems really durable. The included knife is junk. I tossed it and went straight for a razor blade.

I bought several sheets years ago and did this. They were only $14.95 or so back then was I thought was still expensive. After I cut the tools out which does take a while, I bought the bright yellow kids construction paper, the large sheets and placed under the black foam sheets, then when you have completed a job, you can do a very quick scan of all your drawers and to see if you are missing any tools, you will have a bright yellow spot staring back at you. I've only lost 4-5 tools over the last 10-15 years.
