This is a good knife for daily use that is lighter in weight than many others of this style.

I have owned 2 of these. My first one I used that thing all the time until I lost it. Fell off my pocket somehow. Never ended up finding it. So had to get another one. The 2nd one was working fine for a while. Til I had to cut up some plastic sheeting and it seems like something loosened in the knife or fell off, maybe something inside. Now when it is open it seems if your holding it and barely touch the release button, it will just start to close it. I think the screw just above the Crafstman logo is loose. Very dangerous if you ask me. It was tough to find a hex head small enough to fit it. But I think I've done what I can. It almost seems like using it a couple times to tighten it has rounded out the opening. Tightening that screw really only made the knife a bit tighter to close, but didn't tighten up the release mechanism too much. Won't be able to do anything now. Hopefully this helps or I can get another from Craftsman. They shouldn't use screws like this that easily round off. Worst case I'll have to buy another one.

Have been using this knife on the job (builder) for about a week and am very pleased with it so far. Will have to see how it stands up to prolonged use, but it seems very well built and sturdy. It opens very easily (although I always use two hands) and the blade changing system seems to work well. This facet of the knife beats another I recently used which allowed the blade to pull out of the knife constantly when cutting with it. Just wish there could be some sort of blade storage incorporated into it.

My husband will love this because it folds up and fits perfect in his pocket.
