Not a very tight sealing cap. When the mower was tipped on it's side the cap did allow gas to leak out of the tank. Not recommended.

The last one fell apart, so I had to buy this one. It is made differently, so, maybe it is better than the last one. Too expensive, at any rate.

This review will be helpful for those having issues with the yellow-threaded fuel caps. The stock fuel cap in black and yellow had a weakness where the yellow threaded plastic was too thin and broke after a season of use. This redesigned all black (unlike pictured) is molded out of one piece of plastic. This upgraded design results in a thicker layer of material at the threads so in theory should last quite long. Go ahead and don't hold back on picking this up with the two fuel saver capsules. I do not use the fuel saver during the mowing season, only when I have to store the machine for longer will I snap that onto the cap.

This was a breeze to use and something worth the price. It will be even more valuable in the Fall and Winter months when you don't have to cut grass as often and the Lawn Mower sits idle in the garage. Keeps you from pouring out old gas from your tank somewhere which could hurt the enviroment.

It should be a crime to put this fuel cap on a $300 lawn mower. I've broken 2 of them already and cannot find a replacement other than the OEM POS.

This is just more Craftsman junk. Breaks easily and is just an overpriced gimick. I'm done with anything Craftsman.

This is the second Craftman Fresh Start Fuel Crap that brakes in 2 years. Poor quality, way over price, this is a P.O.S. While at the store, I was looking at the new Lawn Mowers on display, it looks like Crapfman re-designed the Fresh Start Fuel Cap for a more solid/harder plastic than the yellow one. Good luck finding the new re-designed fuel cap, I was told you can only get it online. That is probably why there were two or three lawn mowers on display with the fuel cap missing, i guess people are taking advantage of the five finger discount. I don't blame them, Sears should replaced them for free.

If you need a new gas cap and are in a pinch, this one works. It fit. It was a little expensive, but it was in stock and I was in a hurry. If it keeps my gas fresh over the winter, then all the more better.

I have just broken my third one of these. What a joke. They are poor quality, though I like the fuel stabilizer capsule.

I bought this because I lost the fuel cap to my mower and they didn't have just a cap available. So I ended up buying this because I needed a fuel cap now not in 5-7 business days. Even though fuel stabilizer is usually used to store the mower and gas over long periods of time; I have noticed that my mower starts right up without hesitation now and seems to run smoother. I was skeptical at the price however I guess if it keeps my mower from wearing down I my as well pay a little extra now then have to pay for an overhaul later.
