Craftsman  Fuel Filter

The filter media is too fine for gravity fed engines and does not allow enough gas flow to keep the engine running at full load. After 10 minutes the filter gets emptied, and the engine dies. If you have a gravity fed engine, with no fuel pump, you need a 75 micron filter (like the discontinued 33940) to work correctly.

Very easy to replace

This fuel filter replaces a fuel filter that did not filter the fuel !!!! The sales clerk was very helpful regarding questions I had.

I went into my local sears store here in Sumter SC and brought in my model number for my riding mower. I went in to purchase replacement tune-up parts. The only items that were in stock were the blades and fuel filter. As for the fuel filter, I needed the red Briggs/Stratton fuel filter, which they did not have, the salesman stated that this new filter is what is offered now. Well long story short, these fuel filters are not like the Briggs/Stratton red gravity flow with a screen which is what initially came with my mower, these new filters have some restriction to them, my mower would not run right after I installed this. I decided to get a replacement red Briggs/Stratton fuel filter and go back to OEM which I found at Lowes, which i also purchsed my Air Filter and Oil which my local sears did not have. I went in 5 days earlier and they told me they would have items in stock by that following Friday which they did not. I am not sure what is going on with Sears but quality and service seem to be headed down hill.

Though item is of good quality, a Briggs and Stratton fuel filter was less expensive by $2.50. Sears should really evaluate their prices and try to be closer to their competitors.

The product appears to be of good quality, but the price is to much. You can buy a car filter cheaper.

Found the fuel filter very easy to change. Was last thing I had to do on my lawn mower to give it an oil change and change all filters! Once I figured out how to undo clap was fast and easy to change.
