I use this hammer to pound out bent parts in my workshop. It hasn't failed yet. If you really need to pound on something this is the hammer for you. It will most likely be in service for many years to come and then some.

This type of Drilling Hammer is very powerful. There is literally little if ANY bounce, when using this tool. It is one of the only two hammers, other being a Ball Pein hammer, designed and tempered to strike other metal objects. Although hardly ever used any more to strike a Star Drill, to "drill" holes in concrete or stone, it is a very powerful way to provide a short-stroked impulse force to a variety of tools and materials. It's weight takes over, where the line of ball pein hammers (32 oz. max) leaves off, in the Craftsman line of metal striking hammers. Very highly recommended.
