I was able to use my shop your way rewards points and a gift card to score this guy for a great deal. I set it up and it works great no leaks and the included brass reducers help to keep the whole system at 1/4" size.

Item# 00916023000 | Model# 16023, after 14 months use ruptured on me. If my forearm was not in front of may face the pieces would be in my face not my forearm. I have another that I purchased 1 month later and seems to be fine for now. If there was away to provide photo's I would. Will be going to Sears 03/16/2014 to see what they will/will not do.
The regulator that I used frequently on my craftsman air compressor for over 15 years finally broke so I replaced it with another craftsman product and man the quality is terrible. After 2 months of use it has stopped working. Now reading other peoples reviews I see I am not alone in this issue and it is frustrating that a company was once long ago known for quality and CRAFTSMANship has sunk to this quality of product. Shame on Sears for letting us, the consumers, down. I know people can say I should return it and get a replacement by why waste my time I bet the replacement will fail as well so I am going to take the loss, buy a competitors product for half the price, and chaulk it up to a lesson learned.

I just built a new 30'X40' shop and purchased this Craftsman Filter\Regulator for my Ingersoll Rand Air Compressor. And the first day I hooked up this junk it leaked & the **** on top to regulate the air pressure is cheap made. I tried to fix it so it would not leak air, but had no luck. I tried taking it back to Sears where I purchased it and they would not take it back or exchange it since I did not have my reciept, and I just purchased this 2 weeks prior to installing it in my shop, So don't believe that all Craftsman is lifetime warranty, because they will find any excuse to not replace there junk that is made in China & not the US. Even though Craftsman is only sold by Sears they still would not exchange it. So I will never buy another Craftsman product again. Sears quality and service sucks and is not the same as is used to be years ago.
Just what we needed, good heavy duty, mounted on the wall near the air compressor. Easy to hook up. would definitely buy again. Works great with my Craftsman air compressor.

This regulator is rated up to 175 PSI. I keep my air compressor at 150 PSI I have had the plastic bowl crack 3 times on me. Not sure if it was just a bad lot or if it is a known issue. Other than that it seems to get the job done.

Only expected a pressure regulator to allow me to control pressure. It failed. Difficult to set it at the 90 pounds I needed from my 60 gallon tank compressor. Pressure fluctuated wildly once set. Lucky it did not blow out my tool, but made sanding diffucult. The port cap for the Guage was glued tight, the soft metal was not strong enough to overcome the seal and therefore I was stuck with the Guage on the wrong side for my application. When using the blower, the air blast was noticeably wetter than without the built in filter. In short it failed miserably. Lucky it did so immediately giving me time to return it. I suppose in the interest of protecting my expensive tools, Ingersoll, snapon,... I should invest in a good regulator, filter and dryer.
I bought this less than a year ago, it's a piece of garbage on two accounts. 1. The regulator never worked consistently. I can't always regulate A/P without shutting off the air and unscrewing the regulator completely, re-seating it and then closing it up. 2. The polycarbonate bowl (water trap) cracked at the bottom where the drain valve is seated. If the drain seat was too tight, that's from the factory (China) and should be a covered item. The problem is they don't sell or stock the bowl separately. After getting the run-around using the phone, my solution was to buy the Husky regulator and swap out the bowls until I can replace the whole thing.
