Purchased this for my Craftsman 33g compressor. There are times that I have to use my compressor for extended periods that can sometimes cause water to come out of the blow gun due to condensation. This filter has helped dramatically reduce the water coming out of the end. Highly recommend.
This product has had to be exchanged twice in less than 6 months. The collection bowl springs a leak. Poor plastic? The only thing good about it is that Sears has been willing to exchange it relatively pain free. But what happens the next time, especially after 12 months? I expected this simple item to last a lifetime with the Craftsman name on it. I've already wasted hours disconnecting, returning & then reconnecting. VERY unsatisfied.

The maker of Air tools say to use a filter dryer to keep water out or reduce it from wrecking the tools this is good easy to install I like to use Sears products when I can.

I agree with all the other negative reviews. This thing is cheap ****, the bowl cracks, and leaks. craftman is definitely not what they used to be!! VERY disappointed!!!

The filter catches a lot more moisture than other brands but the plastic cup is ****. They crack at the petcock. I keep several in stock just because of this issue. They will last a few months or a few weeks. The only reason I recommend this product is because of the filter. It will catch a lot and they are reasonably priced, but the bottom end is junk.

Bought one, it lasted about 4 months and then one day I heard whistling... I went to replace the o-ring and discovered several cracks at the drain valve in the glass. Bought a second one and it lasted about 2 minutes. My first thoughts were that I overtightened something, vibrations, maybe moisture froze near the cinder-block wall, anything. But when the second failed and cracked within minutes I knew it's just the brittle, low quality plastic bowl. I shouldn't have to begin with, but don't see a workaround.

I just purchased this air line filter and after reading the reviews decided to put some hose clamps on it to try to prevent the cracking. I'll let you know if it cracks. I was surprised to find the air flow direction arrows partially hidden ond in the same color as the metal making it hard to find if you don't know where to look.( on the top under the ring)

I had an older model 160092 which lasted 14 years. My 1st 16009 lasted about a year and the second was DOA with cracks in the bowl. I am giving up on this product. Some combination of the bowl design and the drain valve are not up to snuff and the product fails prematurely.

Like the other reviewers the plastic bowl cracked. I am going to take it back to the store and see if they will give me a replacement.

First of all Craftsman "made in China", first time using it the plastic bowl that holds the water, cracked, went back to exchange it, within 48 hrs it cracked again, would not recommend going back getting something else
