Craftsman Hose Pinch Pliers, Set of 3

I have been working on small engines for some time. I would use pinch lock surgical siccors to clamp off my fuel lines. But since I come across this set from Sears, this makes my fuel line clamping alot better. These pinch pliers, dont damage the fuel lines, and are very simple to use. Love having the complete set, i now use the bigger pliers to clamp off water hoses, radaitor hoses, and many other apps for the need of clamping off.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Not Just for Hose Clamping!

I must be honest that I did not buy these for hose clamping however if that is what you want then you won't find a better brand. I needed a tool that would clamp something together without damaging the surfaces and remembered seeing these at Sears. You can control the clamping pressure where you want it and the handles will stay locked in that position until released. This differs from say a pair of vise grip style pliers in that the tools are designed to apply equal pressure on the jaws keeping them parallel unlike the vise grips that pivot on one end. If I ever need to pinch off a radiator hose I am positive these are up to task but mine will see way more duty as clamps. The tools are quality made on every aspect from end to end. The handles are comfortable and appear very durable.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Perfect for working on my old truck

I used these pinch pliers when I was working on my old truck.  I sue them to pinch the gas line so I don't get fuel all over the place, on a radiator hose, etc.  Actually, I am suprised that these are not sold in stores.  They are easy to use and I didn't spill hardly any fuel on my garage fLOOR.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

I use these daily and they're great

Craftsman Hose Pinch Pliers, Set of 3 are extremely handy. I have a small engine repair shop and always having to remove fuel lines to the carbs or replacing fuel filters, cooling lines on watercooled small engines and so on and before I got these pinch pliers, I would have to use needle nose vse grips and ihey would distort or damage the hose sometimes. I purchase these pinch pliers and from the very first time that I have used them, they were great. I can completely pinch off a fuel line and have no fuel leak at all. There is no damage or distortion to the hoses when removing the clamping pliers. I love these things. The bigger set is great for clamping off coolant lines on the water cooled engines that I get from time to time. The smaller set is great for the fuel lines on the quads and 4-wheelers that I work on. Acutally, I use these so much, I am considering a second set, just to allow me to work on more than one fuel issue at a time. The flexbile jaws keep from crimping the hoses in a awkward position and allows for the lines to be comlpetley crimped off. I use this pinch plier set 90% on small engine in my shop, but have used them while working on my son's project car and they worked great. They pinch pliers have a good hand grip and pretty comfortible to use. They are very easy to use and to clamp whatever hose your are working on. To release them, just lift up on the handles and they break free and you are done with them. They seem to be built pretty strong and appear that they will last, plus they have the famous Craftsman warranty. I see these pinch pliers having a long and productive life in my shop and if you do any kind of work with fuel lines and such, I would recommend this this set for you to add to your tool boxes.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Overall
Very good design and build quality.

I am an ASE master certified heavy duty diesel mechanic with 9 years experience in the field, so I know good tools when I see them. I saw a set of hose pinch pliers on a Snap-On tools truck and almost bought them until one of my colleagues informed me that Sears was selling some that were nearly identical, but at nearly half the price. I went to Sears and found the medium sized one in stock and asked the sales associate (who was very helpful I should add) if there were any other sizes available. He checked the catalog and showed me that there were two other sizes available and if I purchased the full set of three, they would cost less than buying them individually, so I went ahead and had him order them for me right there at the kiosque. They were shipped to my front door within a few days in a carefully packed box, though I'd bet they could have dropped them from an airplane without the packaging and it probably still wouldn't have hurt them. I've been using them for about a month now with zero problems and I can tell you that these are far superior to any other design I have tried and the build quality is as good as any of the major tool truck brands like Mack, Snap-On, Matco, etc. If you need a good set of hose pinch pliers, buy these, they are the best you can get.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
