Pretty good chair. Good Price. Nice color.

I purchased two of thse chairs. I noticed that they got some mixed reviews, but thus far, I am quite happy with them. They were very easy to put together. I actually found that the directions confused the issue. It was easier to just look at the pieces and just do it. I have only had these for a few weeks, but I have used them quite a bit. There are a few people in our shop and they seem to like them. I like the dark blue color. They blend well and look to wipe off easily. The cushion is not too thick, but it is comfortable. The back is adjustable and offers some pretty good support. Overall, I think they were a great buy and well worth the money.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

comfortable and sturdy...minor assembly quirks

The assembled chair is nice and comfortable with lots of adjustability. I bought these because it's higher than a typical bar stool which is perfect for playing my bartop arcade, but it might be too tall for an average workbench. Assembly is pretty straightforward. However, the instructions aren't clear on which screw is which. The leg screws are the Philips head, the seat screws are the hex caps. Also, it doesn't say in the instructions, but the nuts for the leg screws should be placed with the round cap towards the leg. Otherwise, you won't be able to grip the nut to secure it. I recommend using a screwdriver other than the one provided for leg screws. Finally, it's tough to tell in the picture, but the chair is close to navy, not bright blue. Think New York Giants helmet rather than Chicago Cubs hat. The Craftsman logo is silver.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Craftsman Hydraulic Stools

Assembly is a piece of cake no instructions required. I currently own 6 out of 7 colors of the hydraulic's (can not find silver), plus 2 hydraulic wrench and 1 flame style Craftsman chair. Plus I have 4 Craftsman stools. Seat is comfortable and is adjustable to the height of my 3 Craftsman tables. Comfortable to sit on for the length of 2 football games. I would stand on them or use them for ladders, but all in all a good addition to the man cave. I buy nothing unless it's on sale, picked them all up for $46.00 each.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Cool seat. Difficult assembly instructions.

Assembly instructions are not clear. There is one drawing that labels the parts. That's it. No detail drawings. They are written poorly. It took me several attempts and I am not a novice. Seat is comfortable and is adjustable to the height of my workbench. The seat looks good.

Don't pay full price for it...

This stool is all right for general use. It is generally comfortable, but not for more than two or three hours at a time. It isn't worth $80, wait for a sale or buy it used.

Weak Product.

Foot pegs fell apart first week. Stool supports constantly come loose, screw in lock knobs fall out. Base of seat broke off within five months. Would never buy another.

Shop Stool

Nice shop stool, reasonably comfortable with decent back support a plus. However, the feet work loose after a year or so, and the parts for repairs don't appear to be available, rendering the stool a prospect for the trash heap. I've bought much cheaper stools, while not as comfortable, lasted far longer. Sears could resolve issues like this by simply having a way to order parts from their web site.
