Overall, others give this:
North Vernon, IN
Always wondered about what all the fuss was about these vices. Saw other ones for more than 2 times the price for this one. Can's see how they could be any better than this one. Very pleased with this purchase.
I have been looking for this vise to be on sale for awhile now. I snatched it up for about $50 with points. This is great item because I live in a small apartment and space is a premium. Holds everything with a grip of a pitbull.

Honestly, I didn't even know such a thing existed until I saw it on Slickdeals at a nice price. As soon as I opened the box, I could see that it is very well made and sturdy. Only had it a few days before I put it to work. I got an old steel cabinet from a garage sale which had some rust issues on the bottom. It weighs about 50 pounds and this job vise held it (at an angle) without breaking a sweat while I removed the rust and primed it. I think I'll be using this thing quite a bit.
Going from using a workbench with clamps to this freestanding job vise is amazing. I normally would have to stop cuts mid way to redo my clamping and would always get a slightly imperfect edge. Now I can clamp the whole piece with this job vise and no edge protrudes above the work surface! Great build quality, folds relatively small, and really easy to use. Now I don't need a second person to help me hold down large bulky items. Definitely a great item to have for any handyman/woman

I've been building smaller projects like blanket chests and toy boxes from a home workshop and this vise has been great. It basically runs triple duty as my bench dogs, stops, and vise. I've planed, routed, and sanded on it with no issues, and I've also used it as another clamp while gluing up boards. Works great, foot lever comes in handy too. I'd definitely recommend this vise.

I had some things that I needed to put together and was having a rough time trying to hold them and put things on it. So I went to Sears and saw this Job Vise on sale."bto read the things it could do. and I said why not. I purchased it and took it home and went to my shop to see what it could do. It worked fine: I was able to hook up one side and then attach the orther side with ease.
Canoga Park, CA
This vise is very easy to set up and use. The extra extension that came with it really extends its range and the quality of the materials is very good. The ratcheting lever is very convenient and it's portability is also very good. It looks like a unit that will last a long time and will be uber utilitarian for a number of projects both inside a shop and out.
