These wheels are trash. A simple, permenant fix would be a cogged metal ring that could be tapped into the recesses of either a new or stripped wheel. Done. And even cheaper than having more plastic shipped from China. If you want American built to last, don't shop Sears.

I would have given this wheel five stars but didn't due to the $16.99 price which I think is a bit expensive when you have to spend $34 dollars for two wheels. That said, they do work well and I am expecting them to last longer than the ones that came with the mower. The trend is very good and has made my mowing better than it was with the old wheels.

The design of this product is very poor. This is the front wheel for a self propelled lawnmower. It has plastic grooves that wear off from the metal wheel that turns the shaft in the front end. Plastic wears down making the wheel useless after 1 season of cutting. Plastic and metal do not work!

Although I was disappointed that the original power wheel plastic gears stripped out, the $15 I spent on the replacement was well worth it. Especially given some steep ditches that I have to mow. Perfect fit and easy to replace.
Needed new wheels on the front of my lawn mower and I saw these wheels at the Sears Store and gave them a try and they work great. They work as good if not better than the one' that game on the mower. Happy with the purchase.
I replaced my wheels the end of last year and they are already due to be replaced again. The wheels have plastic gears on them, and the gears on the mower are metal, never a good combination if you want it to last. At $15 per wheel, I will be replacing the mower with something other than craftsman. Bummer... The wheels work great, just don't last more than a few mowings.
