The Craftsman Luxeon K2 LED Flashlight Is the Reliable Choice in Cordless Lanterns
Flashlights and lanterns come in all shapes and sizes, but not all feature a high-power LED bulb that never needs replacing like this model from Craftsman. The powerful beam projects over 300 feet on high setting with a lengthy eight to 14 hours run time. It is constructed from aircraft-grade aluminum for the ultimate in durability. This flashlight boasts a shatter-resistant polycarbonate lens and features o-ring seals that are dirt and moisture resistant.
A trusted name in cordless lanterns, this black Craftsman LED flashlight is designed to operate in extreme conditions from 30 degrees below zero to over 130 degrees. The Luxeon K2 is equipped with an easy-to-manipulate on/off, high/low push button switch. The knurled grip allows hands to get a better grip. This flashlight runs on six standard AAA batteries that are included. Bright, sturdy and easy to carry, it is a ideal choice for either a person who uses a flashlight on a daily basis or someone who wants a reliable cordless light on hand in case of a power outage.

I bought this flashlite over a couple of other choices thinking the standard Craftsman handtool replacement policy applied to it. I am now wiser for my loss and know now that it does not. If it breaks within short period of time and/or if you have not bought an additional warranty, Sears says it's your problem, not theirs. I liked this flashlight alot and it got a lot of use. Though well taken care of, and in excellent condition in all other aspects, the switch I see everyone complaining about broke and, because it's a little over a year old and I unwittingly did not purchase an additional policy, Sears says now that there is nothing they will do. I don't want the money for it, I just want a flashlight that I had previously liked to work. Be very aware that you need to buy additional coverage if you want to keep this light for any length of time. I guess I should have read the fine print. I just assumed (and you KNOW what they say about assuming... LOL) that because it was "Sears", that they would support their hand tool in the usual manner by replacing it if it broke. Silly me... my bad. For the additional cost, I might just as well have bought an additional backup flashlight... or two... or three. yes, I am very disappointed and will be much more cautious and hesitant with my any of my future Sears hand tool purchases.

I live East Africa and this light is an excellent one to have if: 1) lights go out and you want to light a room (it stands straight up); 2) want a concentrated bright beam; 3) want a handy, light-weight light for the car or hiking. I had a Dorcy and this light was way brighter and more importantly, the battery life lasted WAY longer. Figure that one out!

I am a homeowners claims adjuster and needed a bright, sturdy, easily portable flashlight. This flashlight fit the bill. It is solid and sturdy and very bright. This was exactly what I needed. I use it on a daily basis in all conditions. It has held up for several months. I would certainly purchase again.

I purchased this LED flashlight for my son for Christmas last year.. It is super bright and the batteries will last at least 10 times longer than in a standard flashlight. It is solidly built and has a metal casing. Because it is LED the bulb will also last much longer than one in a standard flashlight.

I got this light about a year ago and have been very happy with it. It has good battery life and puts out a lot of light. I would recommend this light to anyone looking for a good small light. I like to keep it in my car as it comes in very handy. I realy like the hi low settings that it has.

This was just the flashlight I was looking for. Very bright LED flashlight and just the right size. After owning it for less than one year, I accidently dropped it on my patio from a height of about 2 feet. It completely stopped working. Very disappointed. This flashlight is very delicate and not up to Craftsman quality.

Great flashlite. I own two, but they do not work now. The battery holder is very weak. It broke when installing the batteries. The plastic is very weak

This is a very light duty flashlight. If you drop it 2inches above the ground it will stop working. I have been through 3 already, mainly becuase I love Craftsman and keep giving them chances to redeem their brand. This light only has a 1yr warranty, so far 2 of my 3 were warranty replaced. It is bright, I love that, it is nice to hold, feels good in the hand, not cheap. But better suited for household functions, not outdoor work. We keep this one on the mantle for power outages or to check on the kids at night, I wish I could use it at work, but I tend to drop things and this one will not stand up to my job.

I got mine a couple years ago and do not regret my purchase. No, it does not have an adjustable focus, but it's one bright, solid, general purpose light. The removable battery holder is well-made (The metal seems to be nickel-plated so it's not aluminum) and has survived batteries that had leaked and corroded. A key ring can be solidly attached to it's bottom allowing you to hang it from your belt with a carabiner clip. The housing is made of aluminum, but it's threads are large and will not easily strip. The rubber button and switch still function as new. I expect to get many more years of service from this light.

At first the light was great it lite up the night like it was day. After about 2 weeks of service I would have to shake the light to make it come on. After a time or two of doing this I decided to investigate. I found that the spring on the back of the light which applys pressure towards the front of the light to keep the battery "pack" tight was wearing out. Now 4 months have passed and the spring is pretty much shot. I have resorted to removing the spring and placing it in backwards, which makes it work alot better for the time being.
