I purchased this shovel during a good sale. The shovel was equal to or better than anything at ********** or Loews, the cost was less and the name was Craftsman. I don't know what else to say.
These shovels lasted longer than I thought they would. The handle actually outlasted the steel shovel. My steel shovel split in half from left to right after many years of use. A long handle provides extra leverage and ease of use especially when doing foundation work. These shovels are nice but they have a high price compared to other stores' shovels. Waiting for a sale when you need a shovel right away can be a pain. I'll buy a fiberglass handle shovel the next time I need one.

The quality of this shovel, when you consider the total price paid, can't be beat. This is the second one we have purchased and they just last forever. The wood handles, for whatever reason, seem to be easier on the hands then the plastic handles. I would recommend this shovel at this price point.

I have used this shovel often since I purchased it. It is still good as new and you can't beat the craftsman warranty.

This is a great shovel. It has a tough and sharp spade that makes easy work of digging in the dirt. I have even used it to doing in frozen dirt when working on our dock and it split through the frozen fud with out a problem. Great investment and a great price. Dont's fall for cheaper shovels you will be disopointed.

Craftsman shovels/tools are built to last and we only buy Craftsman. The guarantee that comes with it is well worth the price.
