Craftsman’s Long Handle Digging Shovel Cuts through the Dirt
Featuring a serrated round point blade constructed of heavy duty 14-guage steel, this shovel penetrates hard, compacted soil fast. Equipped with a patented power step on top of the blade, it provides a secure foot placement so your work boots don’t slip and you can drive the shovel deep without much work.
Made of steel-reinforced fiberglass, the handle provides serious leverage and light weight, while the chrome ferrule delivers the strongest head-to-handle connection on the market. Equipped with a foam cushion grip, it helps fight fatigue and reduces vibrations while digging, making hours of work more comfortable. A tough shovel, proudly made in the USA, stock your shed with this Craftsman, and cut through the dirt.

I love this shovel. It has the large areas for your foot when digging, that makes it an easy tool to use. I have even loaned it to my neighbor who loved it and wants to buy one. If only all Craftsman tools were still built this good.

I bought the CraftsmanLong Handle Digging Shovel for some yard projects and general outdoor use and this is a nice little shovel. I like the cleats on the back of the spade to allow you to have better force when you are digging and these also make it easier due to more better footing. The fiberglass handles are strong and I don't have to worry about splinters in my hands. The shovels are stamped "Made in USA" and the spades seem to be pretty heavy duty and the serated edge assist in easier digging in harder ground. These shovels come with a lifetime warranty which I did not know existed on shovels, which is comforting, should I ever need to use it. From what I have used it so far, this seems to be a solid shovel and I hope that Craftsman continues to sell yard tools like this. The only drawback I see, is that I don't have anymor excuses not to start on my yard projects for my wife :)

I bought this shovel as an additional digging tool to accompany my shorter Craftsman shovel. The long handle provides lower back relief when digging. I've used this shovel to plant several trees around my house, and it gets the job done with ease and comfort.

Strong Fiberglass handle. Padded grip. Extra long neck. Wide foot supports. Overall great tool but overpriced unless on sale. In-Store pickup was a total disgrace. Sears really needs to look into a new web provider.

The grip on the handle makes it very comfortable to use; it is also lightweight.

I needed a shovel for digging an irrigation ditch and the blade design with large step platform was perfect. However, the handle is insanely weak and snaps immediately if pushed. I've broken 2 of them and the first time using the 3rd already cracked the handle. Lifetime warranty is needed.
