If you intend to use the magnetic feature of this protractor you might be disppointed.
The magnets are a little weak to support the gauge weight. I think Craftsman could also improve the base design to incorporate a v-groove style base. This would allow the gauge to mount better to conduit.

This protractor is a great addition to your tool box. I've used and some what abused mine for 18 years and it has held up well. The magnets on the back and base are a little wanting thou. The 90-Degree angle fits corners for two-way readings. The 2 movable indicators rotate to allow for comparison reading and the pendulum indicator allows fast reading. Measures or repeats angles with plus or minus 1/2-Degree accuracy. If your looking for a versatile magnetic protractor for various tasks this one is worth a look.

The Craftsman Magnetic Universal Protractor is very insturmental in bending electrical conduit. The problem when I (we) put the protractor on the pipe it doesn't stick very well

it looks great but the magnet is not strong enough to hold itself up side down. i suggest that they use a ceramic type magnet with at least a one pound pull instead of those flexible type that are no different from souvenir magnets on your refrigerator door.
