It Will Let You Know When "Your A Few Degrees Off"
This protractor is a great addition to your tool box. I've used and some what abused mine for 18 years and it has held up well. The magnets on the back and base are a little wanting thou. The 90-Degree angle fits corners for two-way readings. The 2 movable indicators rotate to allow for comparison reading and the pendulum indicator allows fast reading. Measures or repeats angles with plus or minus 1/2-Degree accuracy. If your looking for a versatile magnetic protractor for various tasks this one is worth a look.

Needs minor enhancements

If you intend to use the magnetic feature of this protractor you might be disppointed.

The magnets are a little weak to support the gauge weight.  I think Craftsman could also improve the base design to incorporate a v-groove style base.  This would allow the gauge to mount better to conduit.

Simple Affordable Protractor

My husband needed a simple and affordable magnetic protractor for simple jobs at work. He was not concerned with durability, multiple uses,or excellent quality. For his purposes, it is accurate enough and gets the job done. If you just need a cheap protractor that works, this is the one for you. If you prefer one with more bells and whistles, it may not be.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Simple solution

I needed a protractor to replace one which came with my tiltable table. The original one was a digital read with three disk batteries. Once replaced i could not get it properly programmed again. I bought this simple protractor for $10 and it does the trick with out any batteries or programming. Sometimes simple is better, going back to basics. It would be better if the magnet was stronger but for $10 I am satisfied.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Overall
needs stronger magnetic pull

it looks great but the magnet is not strong enough to hold itself up side down. i suggest that they use a ceramic type magnet with at least a one pound pull instead of those flexible type that are no different from souvenir magnets on your refrigerator door.
