I bought this model at a local Craftmans retailer to cut boxes and shrink at work. I really like the look of the wood with the stainless steal. My only problem with this model is the male screw that the blade opens around fell out. The female end stayed in place with no problem. I took the knife back to the store and exchanged it for the same model with no problems at all. Two days later the male screw fell out again on the new knife. I took it back and exchanged it with the aluminum style mini utility knife and haven't had any problems. The cashier even said he noticed people returning this model because of similar problem. I wouldn't recommend the stainless steal model but I love the aluminum model. What really sold me on Craftsman though is that I can just take the defective product with no receipt and no packaging and exchange it with no problems. Thank you Craftsman for your awesome returns policy!

I bought this to carry in my help out bag because it can be closed (by folding the blade). This reduces the chance of running your hand onto an open blade. Also it can be hooked onto your belt while working. Changing the blade is simple and it came with a pack of 3 extra blades in its own case, Not bad for the price either

I had had this knife for a while now and use it quite regularly. It still looks new as it has been a durable little knife. I use the knife in my workshop, in my home for projects and to cut down boxes, trim and assemble wood projects, mark wood for cutting and many many more other tasks. . Featuring a quick change mechanism and one-hand opening operation, this mini utility knife from Craftsman is both simple and efficient. This Craftsman Utility Knife has a lightweight aluminum chassis and a polished sturdy hardwood handle. This knife also has a belt clip so I can wear it on my work belt or just drop it in my pocket of my work pants for convenience. Back lock provides added safety to keep the blade from folding up while using it. Very handy utility knife and I can get blades just about anywhere for it. No hunting for special blades.....

The Craftsman Folding Lock-back knife is the best I ever used. It is small; 2 inches folded, and about 3 inches open, but capable of doing the work I need it to do. Cut down boxes at work, open DVD cases and cut zip ties on the job. It's well made, machined to tight tolerances, comfortable in the hand and really nice looking. Friends and co-workers ask about it so much I've taken to giving the folding knifes for Christmas presents and 'bribes'. As much as I use the knife, the blade locking mechanism sometimes becomes dirty and can be difficult to open. Just be careful, and with the use of a small, slotted screwdriver the safety lever will lift and and the blade mounting guard will function. (a little graphite goes a long way). As with any tool, It has it's place. Don't expect it to do the work of a larger folding knife on big jobs. But for what it's worth, it has proven dependable far beyond the call of duty! This is a great knife for warehouse work as in: cutting open boxes, cutting string or plastic ties, etc. Use it everyday and as a bonus, this knife comes with extra blades. The blades are really easy to replace and the knife folds up real small like a swiss army or pocket knife. I have had a couple of knives similar to this one and they have broke or been awkward to handle, but this one is pretty good so far.

I use my Craftsman knife everyday at work a lot. I have tried other utility knifes and find the blade moves and puts you at risk of injury. This knife holds the blade in place better than any utility knife I have ever used. When cutting you need the blade not to move give in any way. If you use a knife on a regular basis, this is a knife you should try. I fell lost without my Craftsman utility knife, you will love this knife.

I love this little utility knife! The trouble comes when trying to find the replacement blades. I have been to Sears for the third time and have yet to come home with any replacement blades.
