I should have read the reviews before buying. It is not accurate and will not make straight cut. Don't waste your money. I hope they will take it back

I purchased this for my daughter for Christmas as she does a lot of her own work on the house. She really likes it and it is reasonably well built considering that it is mostly plastic. For simple trim work the cuts are pretty accurate, but I wouldn't use it heavily or for larger pieces.

For straight cuts this worked ok, but when trying to do angled cuts I found the guide had a lot of play in it, and had a really hard time making nice cuts. Additionally after a few cuts it started squeaking horribly. Very disappointed.

I own the model 881.36343 ( got it the goodwill 9.99 unused ) works great !! Now they make this new junk and I cant get parts ! Is it me or everytime they try to improve they screw up a good thing ??? Come on craftsman you used to be something on a job site now everyone shakes their head and thinks this guy must be a rookie must be new in the field !! When did craftsman become a joke ??

Blades might have an option for finer teeth for fragile woods and extremely clean cuts that might be necessary for picture frames.

very poor quality and difficult to use. the guide is unstable.

I purchased this instead of the classic yellow miter box. Needless to say I am going to go with the yellow box or the Stanley. This saw is inaccurate, dull, and noisy (the one I had squeaked terribly). Don't even buy to try. Go with the yellow box.

I would say that I used this miter box for about 10 cuts for baseboard trim and not one of them came out straight. This plastic pile of garbage has sat untouched on my tool bench since day two of owning it and it's been over a year now. I hope they will take it back so I can spend that $20-$25 on something else. To sum it all up...This thing cuts crooked don't buy it!

I unforunately made the mistake of buying this saw thinking that I was actually getting a good product because it was made by Craftsman. The product is cheaply made and it's too loose. I made one 90% cut and the metal/plastic combination of the miter box proved unsatisfactory. Although going easy and making short even cuts, the saw itself bounced around and scratched the remaining piece of trim I had. I should've looked at the reviews before I bought this. Waste of time. Will return ASAP.
