Powerful with some quirks

I bought this drill with the intent on using it to get inside kitchen cabinets to undo the countertops becasue we were having them replaced.  I wanted something lightweight, easy to use with enough tourque to get the screws out.  With that said, some of my requirements were met.  The good:  The drill had the 90 degree angle to get into the tight spots with ease. It was light weight.  Also had plenty of torque.  Came with a nice case and fast charging battery.  The not so good:  The forward/reverse is way too close to the trigger.  It is way too easy to switch forward and reverse to the point of frustration. The second thing is the light while nice to have is next to useless.  The only way to activate the light is to activate the drill.  If you have to go into a dark area, whats the point?  You are just wasting battery power, while the drill is running to find the screw.  Then stopping the drill and hoping to make the catch on the head.    The light should have a separate on/off to light the area in which you are working.  Finally, it's just one speed.  Full ahead.  So you will have to literally baby it to do the work  you want it to do.

So while powerful, light weight at the perfect angle, it has it's flaws.

impact driver

I bought this driver to help remove rusted bolts on my street rod frame, but does not have the torque for heavily rusted items.

The craftsman Nextec 12.0 is small enough to get in small area's

Used it in an area where I had just inches. Was putting in a board trim in the edge of the sidewalk. Just had a small space between the wood and the edge of the grass. Worked wonderful. Used it to put up window rod.

Didn't work well for me, returned for refund

After reading the reviews I decided to give this tool a shot. I read where folks were using it for lug nuts and hard to remove bolts. I tried it on 2 different cars and it couldn't budge one lug nut. I also tried it on the caliper carriage bolt when replacing the brakes on my car. It was a waste of time. It was 100% charged and I left it on for the documented time before using. For me this one was a dud!

Great overall impact driver

For the price, this driver delivers what it claims. Easy handling and very helpful for those tight areas. Definitely a worthwhile tool for the box.

Overall
Well made tool for tight places

This one is especially good for tight places. Well made and like the fact that it came with all the attacHments, battery, charger n case as well, that alone coupled with 5 off 35 was hard to pass up on sale price Especially if you own other nextec tools. The impact is powerful and makes jobs a breeze. Cons: the varible speed is iffy have to be very careful on the trigger and the direction switch is too delicate.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Good tool for non professional

It is good tool to have it at home and it comes in very handy when you drill holes. It is small and, relatively speaking, light weight. However, I would not recommend you use it to heavy drilling. It won't be able to drill through.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
