Craftsman  NEXTEC 12.0V Multi-Purpose Work Light

This light is excellent. A must have if you work in tight areas. I had this light in a customers driveway at night. The magnets held the light on the trunk lid while I worked. It was just perfect. I will buy more.

This has quickly become my "go to" worklight. It's nice and bright and very portable, I like it better than any of the LED or incadescent flashlights you usually have available in portable power tool kits. The only complaint (however minor) would be it does go through the battery faster than many of the other tools, that being said I found I can get 20-30 mins of full run time before I have an issue. Add in the new charger and within a few mins you can be back up and running to finish a project if needed. I would highly recommend this worklight!

Bought this for my boyfriend, he work with cars all day and he needed a light to use under the hood and car that will not get hot and burn his. This did the trick WELL. It was light and the light it gave him did not blind him, made his job easy. It also came with a hook so it was easy to hook it in the hood and have his hands free. This is a great product.

Someone lost a decimal point. Nextec Batteries (not included) are rated 1.3Ah at 12V which is 15.6 W-hrs capacity. That can drive a 13W light 72 minutes (1.2 hours). New batteries a little more, after 2 years a little less. Getting 300 lumens for over an hour out of a 1.3Ah 12V battery is great. Even better, these charge in 30 minutes so two batteries can take turns and last you all day, or all night. 12 Hours is 10 times more than anyone should hope for.

This is a great addition to my tools. I use the drill on a daily basis and the circular saw and sander have come in handy on a lot of project. In my current job occupation, I find myself in need of a good light source many times (basements, attics, behind couches, garages, etc.). The Nextech LED work light works well if a more focused beam is sufficient and longer battery life is required. But this fluorescent light offers a much brighter and wider agle of light. It's very versitile to, as it has a handy pull out hook for hanging the light, and very strong intergraded magnet that easily holds it in multiple positions on metal surfaces. It's also slim and compact and stores fairly easily in my tool bucket. The battery consumption could be better, but it is to be expected as it only runs off a pretty small 12volt battery. I had no illusions of it running for hours on end but it only last about an hour and a half. The battery charges in only 30 to 35 minutes also. Given all the pros, it's a small price... speaking of price, for only $30, I did not expect it to come with a Free $25 battery, as it did not. It's really just an accessory for your current collection of Nextech tools.

Even though the picture clearly shows a battery, there is not one included. Nor does the write-up say "battery not included" as the write-ups for other products when that is the case. Sears would not honor their ad and provide a battery, so I returned the light. $30 for a light that does not work until you buy a $20 battery for it is ridiculous.

I bought this light over last weekend after noticing the unbelievably low price. My dad has a DeWalt light very similar to this one but it uses older Ni-Cad batteries. Since this light uses Li-Ion batteries it lasts MUCH longer and is more versatile than the DeWalt. The light has a 13W bulb that is plenty bright to light up dark attics, under car hoods, and pretty much anywhere else I use it. I love the fact that there are two very strong magnets on the back so the light can stick to metal surfaces. The hook at the top is also nice and it extends and swivels 360 degrees.

Major con: I knew there was something suspicious when I saw the light was only $30. The picture shows it with a battery but this light DOES NOT come with a battery or a charger. You have to buy those separately at about $60 extra with tax. The description above is vague and does not say one way or another if a battery or light are included or not. It would have been nice to know that up front before I bought it.
