This Drill has plenty of Torque to get most of the bolts loose or drive them into things. This is the replacement for the Drill carrying 91430 Model Number. This drill has 260in-lbs compare to the old 195in-lbs of the 91430 or 7245 version. The extra torque is well worth it. This 30565 is slight heavier compared to the 91430 or 7245 version. If you are working around a lot but need to be mobile, the 30565 is well worth it. Your wife can get away with the 91430 or 7245 =) The design has changes slightly in shape, less rounded. This new model also sports a LED indicator which the old one did not have. They both use the same battery. Besides these changes and the torque the rest is the same compared to the older model. Cons: - Really not a 100% con (The battery does not last as long as the full size big boys drill) -Heavier than the older model (But they have to get the torque from somewhere) Note to Craftsman: It would be nice if there is an extended battery type.

Nice grip and power with lite for those dark areas and battery life indicator is handy. now I need the rest of the group to make it complete.

I am an HVAC Technician, I use this drill daily to take out screws holding panels on. I drive screws into sheet metal and wood with it, and drill holes up to 1/2" using bits with reduced shanks to fit in the chuck. Its compact size and light weight allow me to carry it right in my toolbag, which saves the hassle of carrying a full size drill and impact driver into buildings and on to roofs. I still do carry a full size 18v drill and impact driver in my van for large jobs or installs.

I've had one for over a year and can't believe I didn't have one sooner. This is such a stress reliever on a wide verity of projects...even my wife loves it better than a regular drill. SO, this one I gifted my son and he's is amazed at the overall performance and quick recharger. I would recommend this to not only beginners, but anyone that does home projects.

I bought this drill to replace both of my 8+ years craftsman screw driver and my old electric black and decker drill. this drill is all I need for home. although most of the work is done at low settings, the high torque is needed when you tighten big screws like bedframes and similar. you will not find a powerful drill like this for the same price. This small size, light weight, full featured powerful drill is an excellent choice for home use

I have only owned the drill for a few weeks but so far this is as good as the more expensive brands. Don't buy the slightly less powerful drill the extra 65 in/lbs of torque is worth it.

This is an excellent drill for smaller jobs or to carry with you when you really don't want or need a large, heavy drill. Granted, it's not my first choice for building a deck, but it really does have plenty of torque, pretty good battery life & is very portable.
