Went by Sears to pick up oil filter for my riding mower. Salesman had a few to choose from, but I went back with the original B&S. Installed with no problem.

I would say that this saves you money for not having to pay a serviceman to replace this for you. However, this is quite expensive compared to how cheap I can car or truck oil filters for from brand name companies. I am a little dissappointed that these are not cheaper considering how basic of a design this part has (just on a slightly smaller scale).

Sears emailed me to review this product. Well....... it's a filter. Wow. It filters. A little high priced for what it is but it works like it should.

This product works well, but it seems overpriced at over $10. You can get an automotive filter which seems like it would need to be better constructed than a mower filter for $5 or less. Obviously you wouldn't want to use an automotive filter on your mower, but the price on this product seems inflated because only Sears sells it.

Originally checked a competitor for this filter didn't seem right when I looked at it and decided to go to Sears. Went to the Alton, IL Store and checked the filters out there. The competitor had the wrong filter in the correct Package and was almost $3 more. Service was also great.
