I respect the Craftsman name and demand value/performance for my maintenance dollar. This filter does not dissappoint. My local store owner is always VERY helpful, in getting me the right parts for my Craftsman Tractor. And I have to give Kohler their due, *an Engine you can always depend on !

Save your money and buy a Purolator L10241. It's a better filter and is only $3.49 vs. $11.99 This filter fits Kohler, and Briggs Twin Cylinders. This filter also takes the place of the small Briggs filter.

I recently changed the oil & filter on my 1998 Craftsman lawn tractor. Thanks to the new oil and oil filter my tractor is now running better than ever! I use my tractor to mow the lawn and to pick up leaves in the fall with the leaf picker attachment. The Craftsman parts are great!

Not much to say. The filter fits as it should. Slightly annoyed that it isn't the exact Kohler OEM replacement part (painted yellow) that comes on the engine with a new tractor. I get the one-size-fits-many concept with parts, but it would still be nice if the exact OEM part was available from Sears.
