bought this with craftsman 27cc curved shaft weed eater after attaching the edger after weed eating my yard the weed eater wouldn't start so hooked this "starter" up and still wouldn't start had to let weed eater rest for 10 minutes then it started on it's own.

I recently purchased a weed eater for my exboyfriend. He told me, "it didn't come with a starter". LOL. Well what he meant was the electric starter, that on the box for the weed eater I got him said "starter capable". I purchased a weed eater, with an electric starter, for myself from Sears. It's a craftsman of course, the only company my father ever trusted growing up. One of the salesmen at Sears recommended a weed eater because I am height challenged, 5'2", and he knew I might have problems pulling the cord to get it started. Well, I'm happy to say I am very satisfied with the electric starter!!

We purchased this item to supplement our new weed wacker. I have always had trouble with pull starters, and this is definitely the answer. I would highly recommend it. Plus, we've always had good luck with our craftsman tools and mowers.

After rescraping my knuckles because I didn't want to put gloves on just to pull on the starter rope one more time - one last time because it broke, then breaking down and buying a replacement starter rope, a new gas filter and new fuel/return lines to go on my mostly rebuilt carburetor (NOT Ryobi), then using that darn E-10 gas and oil without Stabil, and again failing to run it until the carb was dry, I told myself I wasn''t going to do this again. So I am now saving my knuckles, having bought a weedeater that allows for this very starter! Another thing I figured was that after putting in new, clean, NON-E10 fuel with the appropriate volume of oil, and trying to start it, that running the power starter until it got hot was not a good idea. If you have good fuel, and the plug is cleaned & gapped right and you get a good spark, and if it starts away but only for a very short period, then ya gotta check your fuel delivery system. This thing might seem extravagant, but it was well worth it.

I love this device as I purchased another named brand trimmer and could not start it no matter how hard I tried. I stopped into sears and saw this and purchased the trimmer and this starter with it and I'm completely happy
