Craftsman  Plastic Parts Organizer

I rated this product 3 stars because I was disappointed with it for the following reasons: (1) This parts organizer is not branded as a Craftsman product, rather it is made by STOR; (2) There are removable bins of definite sizes, not repositionable dividers to accommodate longer or larger items. Overall it seems to be a well-made product; however it does not meet my expectations or needs and I will return it.

I won't bother going in to all the details regarding shipping issues I've endured with Sears.com in to Canada (I'm running low on Tylenol), but maybe that's a good point for this organizer...dollar for dollar versus another brand's absolutely identical item (with color as the exception - yellow and black), this one wins hands down. How can you beat half the price? The removable bins are the key and so handy when you have a few of these as you can mix and match those bins to get things to your liking. It becomes a really fun puzzle if you have lots of little things to organize. I have 15 of these now and another 6 coming so...my puzzle is indeed a good one! On the slight down side, I had a few arrive cracked and even one with a hole punched through the top cover due to inadequate packaging and without a doubt, the cold weather. Our lesson with this is that the plastic does become a bit brittle in cold temps. Mine stand on end in a cabinet and save loads of space. Fantastic!

good construction, great price (compared to similar items) and it's cute

I use this tool box for all my small parts and pieces as well as all my fishing gear. I carry this plastic box to the beach every time I go out to the water. The internal compartments are adjustable for size and fit all my big hunting fishing tackle perfectly. I only keep my bigger rigging gear in this box and the big hooks and lead fit perfect. I can carry all my crimping tools for wire leader as wells as all my heavy gauge monofilament in this case. Since its plastic I dont have to worry about rust on the buckles. Although I did drop one of these before and the plastic cracked thats why it didnt get 5 stars. Great addition for all fishermen.

The reason I purchased this small parts organizer was due to the easy removability of its internal compartments. As a homeowner, I use it to organize all of the hardware I routinely rely upon to perform repairs on my house. This storage unit allows me to quickly inventory the parts I have on hand, greatly reducing duplicate purchases.

I purchased two of these organizers in order to clear out a couple of catch-all drawers in my kitchen (conveniently located but internally ugly). By purchasing two, I was able to further customize the level of organization that I needed by swapping the various sizes of internal compartments between the two units. Now all of my smaller parts (nails, screws, bolts, etc) are in one, and my larger parts (electrical, plumbing, irrigation, etc) are in the other.

The only constructive criticism I might offer would be that the surface labels are deucedly tricky to remove from the plastic cover. Since one of the best features of this organizer should be the ability to see what you've got prior to opening the case, it would be extremely helpful if the labels came off easily.

I have several of these stacked and it doesn't tack up much space. It is built solid and not flimsy. The holders are rearrangealble. It also has a cushioned handle. Not a bad deal when you buy it for $9.99.

This box is solid and has good latches that should hold up.
