Gets what the blower won't. Using it for snow cleanup. Cleans up light foot prints and the little bit of moist snow stuck on the ground left behind from using my sthil br600, for a spotless driveway. Tested it out on the grass where there was no snow. seems to work good as a dethatcher too. Slow and steady. Wish it was bigger. Looking for to see how it cleans up dried dirt off the concrete. Only had it for a couple of weeks. Good for small jobs.
I bought this to use as a spring cleanup item to get rid of the sand/salt/debris left from the winter season. This unit worked wonders and removing those items. I was able to complete my cleanup in less than an hour, cut my time by at least half...Must Have
Got this item last week and used it over the weekend to power sweep the driveway gravel back onto our driveway that had been pushed into the lawn by the snow plows and snow-blower that cleared our driveway. It worked great and probably saved me a ton of blisters and was 75% faster than raking (at least). it is still work though - as it is very heavy, awkward, has a huge learning curve, and fights against you. However - for around $75 - it is about 1/4 the cost of similar echo or stihl propaddle attachments. I highly recommend it! Thanks Sears Craftsman! I hope to use this similarly for years to come. Bristles showed no signs of wear afterwards, and it didn't harm the grass at all! raking with a rake pulled out a lot more grass than this item!!
Impulse buy. I have all the other tools and saw this one walking through the power tools area. Using now for post snow blower clean up and it does a great job. Also gives your summer equipment a winter work out. It is a good tool you will take a few minutes to get used to and handle.
Just had artificial turf installed on my decks. Didn't take into account the debris falling out of the trees. Tried to rake it with little success. This broom is a dream come true. Cleans the deck with little effort in no time.
The price is right on this unit, but a simple fix would make it a lot better. The other brooms I looked at sweep towards you making them easier to control and good for getting into tight spaces like against a wall. This unit sweeps forward making it harder to control and impossible to get close to walls or objects. I'm sure this was done to keep it from constantly sweeping debris onto your shoes/ankles, but it would have been great if a simple gearing switch were added to allow it to sweep in either direction. I primarily bought this to sweep the winter sand from the snow plows off the edges of my lawn along the roadway. It should be fine for this, but it's usefulness is very limited by the brushes direction of rotation.
So I recently jumped on this broom because after all ITS CHEAP! compared to others... And of course the quality of it is not the best but it gets the job done, btw it's very heavy!! Much much faster then using a broom on a big sandy area... Of course I don't recommend it on small patches of sand or dirt cuz it will send everything flying!! But anyways it works very well... One other bad thing besides that its heavy is the stupid line in the middle that it leaves, (you will know what I'm talking about once you use it for your self) :)
