This ratchet needs more than just five stars. It's awesome.

The Premium grade ratchets are really, really great tools.  I have this one and the 3/8 version.  The handle is very thick and wide so the handle doesn't dig into your hands when you are wrenching on something really hard.  These are expensive when compared to the standard ratchets but worth it!  And, they are a bargin when compared to the "tool truck" brands.  The only problem is that it's such a nice tool that I'm scared to scratch it!

High quality

I'm not a professional auto mechanic but I do use this often in my job, (commercial hvac tech.) Very smooth operation. No problems at all with this ratchet.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

This ratchet is hefty!!

This ratchet is the best one I have EVER owned. The handle is great and easy to hold. The ratchet is perfect for both Do-It-Yourselfers and Professionals. The Mechanism is smooth and looks to be sealed very well so that NO dust or dirt can get into the ratchet. The teeth action (84T) make it super easy to bite down on nuts and bolts and break them loose. I will hold on to this ratchet for many years to come..

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Awesome Ratchet!

This is a nice ratchet - basically a Matco at a better price. This is also the last ratchet Sears sells that is still made in the USA. Get it while you can before these are farmed out to some low-cost country too...

I would recommend this product to a friend.

THE BEST Ratchet Available

This is absolutely THE BEST ratchet available. I work as a professional mechanic and I have used Matco, Mac Tools, and Snap-On ratchets. All of those ratchets pale in comparison to this Craftsman Premium ratchet. At 88 teeth, it's one of the finest tooth ratchets available, perfect for tight engine compartments. Furthermore, it features a low-profile head, again, good for tight engine compartments. There is a crossbeam handle which is easy on your hand. It also features a long handle for extra torque.

Really, the only con to this item is the poor marketing done by the Sears marketing team to raise awareness. Their logistics team could also do better- all of the ratchets sold in stores sold out immediately. It's an incredible product.

Definitely buy this ratchet, you won't regret it.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Best rachet I own

By far hands down the best rachet I own. Feels good in the hand, strong, heavy, but not to heavy, rachets like silk. and takes abuse. Could use a socket lock, and a hidden directional switch. but the switch is hidden well enough not to be bumped.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Well designed and rock-solid tool

Wow, what a great design -- beefy handle, not too heavy, not too long, and its 84-teeth make it sound like a Swiss watch. Lots of torque here which means you don't have to put too much effort into removing large bolts from equipment. These should be front and center at ever Sears Hardware store. There's no comparison to other ratchets.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
