This is a nice ratchet - basically a Matco at a better price. This is also the last ratchet Sears sells that is still made in the USA. Get it while you can before these are farmed out to some low-cost country too...

These ratchets are junk!!!!! I bought 1/2, 3/8 and 1/4 inch drive. I will admit they are smooth operating tools. However, I broke two 3/8 drives within a month. The weren't abused or misused. The last one broke while being used for the first time while doing a brake job on my wife's car. In Sears defense, they didn't hesitake giving my money back after the second ratchet broke.

This little 1/4" ratchet is something else, very smooth, sealed 84T head, and compact. I have the basic ratchets from Craftsman and I might get rid of them to buy more of these. 100% recommended. And best of all, Proudly Made in the U.S.A!!!

I got this little ratchet for Christmas last year. The first thing I noticed was the gearing of the ratchet, it has many teeth (not sure how many) thus allowing little movements to operate it. I love this 1/4" drive ratchet. It is by far one of the best ratchets I own and has been very handy with the many cars I have serviced with it. The ratchet is a quality piece of equipment evident by it's weight,looks,gearing, and smooth operation. Unlike other ratchets, In the almost year of use I have have zero problems, that inclueds the reversiable operation and socket keeping ball detent that fails on many low quality ratchets. I reccomend this to any serious mechanic.

This ratchet is very well finished and has very smooth action. The handle is one of the most comfortable I have found. I hope a flex head version will be offered. Sears should make these tools more readily available so that customers can see them first hand.
