A good value
After doing a fair bit of research, I settled on this model. I've had it about a month and it's been steady and dependable. It has a couple of limitations: the gas tank is small (runs about 45 min) and it tends to overheat a bit (requires a cool-off after refueling before it will start again). Still, it does a great job of cleaning the wood deck and concrete pad around my pool. I look at the limitations as an induced break -- 45 minutes or so is about all I can stand without a break. I have about 20 operating hours on it now and, so long as the engine isn't hot, it still starts on the first pull. A decent value product for the casual user.

Don't buy this pressure washer
I bought the predecessor to this model washer not quite 2 years ago. Used it once, worked fine. The second time I used it, the pump failed to produce flow - pressure relief keeps unit in full recycle when spray wand is operated. By the time I'd used it twice, the the unit was out of warranty and Sears will not help. I have owned many pressure washers and know how to use and care for them. This one has a bad pump and pressure relief valve design. If you don't mind spending $300 to use a unit once, knock yourself out, otherwise buy from another source. Stay clear of all Sears pressure washers.

Terrible Purchase

I purchased this item new from Sears and have only used it four times. I tried the 5th today, but no luck. I only use it to clean the outside of a single story home and drive once a year. Last year the pressure pump went out. Lucky I had a warranty. After it was repaired, I placed the pressure washer in storage after having drained all of the fuel. Today, I changed the oil, put in fresh fuel and now it won't start no matter what I do. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

Piece of ****

used item 3x`s . Now it will not start. Typical Craftsman powered equiptment. I thought thru the years Craftsmans would have improved. Will continue to purchase handtools only.

PITA

This washer works great once it is running. Key words are when running. If you let this run out of gas, or just simply turn it off for whatever reason, you may not get it back going again that day. I give this a 2 rating because while it works great when it is running, the starting is such a PITA its only redeeming quality is the price. I would only recommend this to someone who is planning on using it to wash a car or side of the house.

Light duty pressure washer NIB.

Useful for cleaning pool deck cars toys etc... Easy to assemble from the box, must take care not to over-fill the oil, it is harder to get out then put in. Gas is a problem, engine does not drink E85 well, fuel lines and filter will start melting... Started first try, good pressure and fairly quiet for a briggs. Will make more comments later.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Good value

A nice midrange washer. It starts easily, does a good job. I have absolutely no complaints about this product. The hose is not very flexible or easy to store, but most washer hoses are like this one.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Don't Buy

Bought power washer two years... Used 5 times and now it doesn't work. While using it, it shut down and never powered on again. Will cost $258.00 to get it serviced. Will stop buying Craftsman because quality is not as good anymore and Sears won't help you out.

Outstanding product

I've used this pressure washer on concrete, brick, stucco, vinyl siding, plastic wood, and aluminum coil and it's done the job on all materials. It's small enough to easily move around yet powerful enough to take care of business. It's run out of gas while in use but has restarted with no problem once the tank was refilled. There have been comments made that the engine won't restart easily after running out of gas unexpectedly but that hasn't happened. If restarting ever becomes an issue simply remove the spark plug and pull the cord a few times to let the vapor in the cylinder escape though the spark plug hole. Those who ride dirt bikes or ATV's know this already. All in all a great pressure washer.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Disappointed But It Got The Job Done

July of 2012 I got the 2500 psi 2.3 gpm power washer to replace a comparable Craftsman that's about ten years old. I'll deal with this just-purchased unit and hope to adapt to the differences betwixt it and the old one as I use it.

Comparing this unit to the old one, I don't like the new idea of the spray tips stored on the pressure washer, preferring the old style because I can change the spray pattern as I'm working by simply twisting the tip of the pressure want. The tips on the new unit are easy to change, but I don't like having to go back and forth to the unit to get a different tip. I ended up carrying them in my pocket, which I don't much care for because of the potential to lose one.

The old unit has pneumatic tires which makes it much easier to move the unit across rough ground. The new one has smaller, hard plastic tires that make it difficult to move across rough ground.

The old unit has a place to set the spray wand when moving the unit, which keeps the wand secure and off the ground, leaving both hands free to guide the unit. The new unit doesn't offer that, making it necessary to hold the wand with one hand and guide the unit with the other.

Don't like where the supply line and high pressure line are located, either. The old ones were easy to get to (high on the side of the pressure washer) and the new ones are difficult to get to (low on the bottom rear), so when I attatch or remove the hoses from the new unit I have to get down on my hands and knees to do so. The old style also made it easier to move the unit because the hoses were not in the way. Since the new unit has the supply hose and pressure hose coming straight out of the back and bottom of the unit, I had to "duck walk" while moving the new unit to avoid stepping on the hoses.

The old unit has a hook to hang a gallon jog of cleaner, and the cleaner supply hose comes off the side. The new unit has a holder (looks like a cup holder) for a really small bottle of cleaner and the supply hose comes out of the bottom. I had to set the gallon jug of cleaner on the ground near the new pressure washer when I used it, but will rig something so's I can continue to use a gallon jug.

The supply hose came loose (but not all the way off) and started pumping solution on the ground. I noticed that when I stopped to reposition the washer. I reattached the hose and kept checking it, so might secure it with a small clamp so I don't have to worry about it all the time.

The plastic cover-piece that fits on the "fast/slow" lever must have vibrated off during use because it's missing and I've yet to find it.
The new unit was quick and easy to assemble and required no tools. It also works just as well as the old unit. It's about half the size of the unit it replaced, which makes it lighter and easier to load on the truck.

I don't like it nearly as much as the one it's replacing, but it got the job done.
