Pete - Pressure Washer
Easy to assemble; easy to start - started right out of the box with no problems; quiet sense-automatic throttle control is definitely a needed feature - prevents the motor from running full throttle when the sprayer is not in use; brass pump is nice feature for longevity of the pump; choose this unit for Briggs & Stratton (B&S) engine which is made in the USA, and based on first handed experience with B&S engines in other products (i.e. lawnmowers, tillers, etc.), these motors provided excellent reliability and longevity.

Don't depend on Sears to make it easy to use your warranty
I purchased a craftsman 3100 psi pressure washer just ten months ago, and have a mere five hours of running time on the unit. The last time I used it I noticed a more loud than normal engine exhaust noise, and an unusual rattle. Upon inspection, I found that the muffler had broken away from the flange that holes it to the cylinder head, right where the two pieces of metal are welded together. To me, an OBVIOUS defect in workmanship, covered by my two year warranty. I called the national Sears service line, and was told I would have to pay for a service call! But that the part, if the serviceman agreed was defective, would be replaced free of charge. Or, I should go back to my place of purchase and discuss with them. So, since the part was now already disconnected from the heat shield, which was all that kept it from falling completely to the ground, I took my manual, the receipt, and the broken part to Sears. There, I was told I would need to load up the entire unit and bring it in, wait x time for repairs to b made, and then come back a pick up, the entire unit. First, I cannot lift this into my vehicle. Second, at the price of gas, it will cost me nearly twice as much as the cost of the part on ******, to make two round trips to my not so local Sears store. For a part weighing about a pound, that is held on with two small bolts, Sears wants me to go through this, so that they can then ship off the entire unit for "repair" and then ship it back to their store. Instead of shipping to part to me. What a joke. Believe me, I have been a loyal Sears and Craftsman customer for over 45 years. NO MORE!

Perfect for around the house!

I detail cars on the side and this thing paired with a foam cannon is perfect! 2.7gpm is awesome! When i purchased this I picked up a whirl away surface cleaner! cleaned my drive way 20'x150' in less than an hour! I read a few bad reviews but I haven't had any problems, I run ethanol free marine gas through it no problems as of yet... 3 year warranted if anything comes up though so I am satisfied for the price i found nothing near by.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Very Low Pressure, Motor issues.

I have exactly the same problems as the owners argued on July 30 and April 16, 2012, the machine is not stable speeds in revolutions, every time I turn me blasts and the pressure is very low. I also plan to return both the pressure washer and the attachment to the store for a refund

carb setup

most of the time the reason the engines surge is because the EPA hs imposed severe restrictions on the amount of fuel/air mixtures allowed which in turn makes the motors run crappy. they also made it so you cannot change the mixture easily without replacing the jet or drilling the carb. also noticed that B&S uses a sealed gas tank now which wont allow gas to flow to the carb easily after a few ounces come out, there is a o-ring under the gas cap i had to remove so the gas tank can get a little air to let out the gas.

Great Pressure Washer

Having worked in the commercial pressure cleaning business for a long time, I understand how a good machine is suposed to perform.  Understanding that this is a residential presure washer, it performs superbly.  It will not do the same work that a commercial rig will do but it far exceded my expectations for residential work around my house and many other jobs I have used it for.   I have cleaned concrete, vinyl siding, machinery alot of sheet metal overhangs and  it performed very well.  With just under a 1/2 gallon of fuel capacity, it will last about 40 minutes between fill-ups.  Great product!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Very Low Pressure

Bought 3000psi/2.7gpm washer yesterday. Pressure seemed low so i made an adaptor for a pressure guage. Sure enough, pressure was around 1200 psi. Motor runs up to speed but surges with no adjustments to correct.

Motor Issues

I have the exact same problems with the motor surging and cutting off as another owner reported on April 16, 2012.  Also, I purchase the concrete floor cleaning attachment.  As soon as I tried to use it, the motor surges and then stops.  I think it puts too high of a output pressure for the engine to run.  I also plan to return both the pressure washer and the attachment to the store for a refund..
