Craftsman Professional 1/2 in. Impact Wrench is a work horse for my shop. I use it nearly on a daily basis in my shop. I work mostly on tractors and buggies, but do some some light auto work too. I wasn't too sure about the durability of the light composite body, but I quickly changed my mind after I put this light impact to work. This body is tougher than I thought it would be. besides its light weight, this thing is a work horse to say the least. I used to have to use a 1/2" drive breaker bar, but now it just sits in my tool box, collecting dust since I purchased this Craftsman impact. Has plenty of torque for every job that I have ever needed it for. Does great for removing tires on my pickup truck & my kids cars, that I get tricked into working on. This is not only the lightest of my impacts, it is also the quietest impact. I also like that you can change the amount of torque that you need by changing the selector on the back of the impact. I used to work on some pretty stubborn blade assemblies & brush hogs with a lot of stuggling, but now, I just grab my air hose & pop on this impact wrench & those once stubborn bolts are now history & I don't even have to break a sweat, anymore. It also makes tearing down a engine, pretty quick. I use the Craftsman deep well impact sockets when I use this impact & have not come across anything yet, that I have not been able to break loose. Great impact for the shop & great price to boot. Awsome impact, in my opinion...

I got this gun out of desperation after my ol' IR quit the bed. At first I wasn't happy with it, due to it being less powerful than my last, however, I've grown used to it. It works just fine for taking tires off, which is all I've gotten to use it for. This gun is reasonably light, and it's easy to reverse the direction with your thumb. It's a good buy for the money, however, Craftsman makes another Professional series 1/2 inch impact that's the same price, and has over 100 ft/lbs more break away torque. I would have gotten the better gun if I could have, but they were out of stock at my store, and my I couldn't afford to wait for one to come in. All in all, this is a great gun for a tech just starting out in the field, or a hold-over for a professional tech.

I used this for years before selling it to a friend to upgrade to the Ingersol Titanium impact. I loved it while I had it. After 10 years of good professional service my friend tells me it finally died

I bought this impact several months ago to replace another Craftsman Professional Impact Wrench. This impact is very nice. It is lightweight, and very durable. It is able to break lug nuts off my Silverado Pickup Truck. The Impact features two speeds and 4 position torque with 50-400 ft./lbs. and a maximum torque of 450 ft./lbs. forward and 600 ft./lbs. in reverse. When properly maintained, this impact shall serve me for many years to come. I really enjoy using this impact when I can. And I hope to order the 3/8" impact of the same style when I get a chance.

I am an ASE certified technician and build high-dollar, high-performance racing engines. I found this composite 3/8" impact wrench to be light, maneuverable, and extremely powerful to remove most fasteners up to 1/2" in shank diameter. It's a time-saving tool and very easy to use.

One of my top favorite tools I have every purchased. This tool really proved its worth while building a Rainbow Recreation outdoor swing set for my 2 year old son. The instructions for the swing set required at least a ratchet but recommended air tools such as an impact wrench and or an air ratchet, and a torque wrench. Other people in my neighborhood who had taken on a project like this had warned me about the time and work evolved, for some it took three to four days! It took me and three buddies about 10 hours start to finish. It wouldn’t have happened without my craftsman air compressor, impact wrench and air ratchet.
