Prior to the purchase of my offset box wrench, my life was fruitless and empty. Now that I have received at least 10 e-mails from Sears asking me to write a review, My life is full and complete with my trusty offset box wrench in my toolbox. As wrenches go, this is the alpha and the omega - the gold standard. Although I originally purchased it to remove a fan from a 1968 Mustang, it has become so much more to me. The wrench and I are now engaged and have set a wedding date in June, 2011. You are all invited.

I needed to get a wrench that would fit in a one by four inch slot to adjust the safety latch on a carbon fiber hood.We had tried flex ratchet wrenchs along with many other kinds of tools,but with no luck.then my son said his shop class at school had some kind of bent wrenches he had used before.So we went to sears and sure enough they had this offset wrench that looked like it might work. If you are not familar with carbonfiber hoods ,they are like fiberglass and for the adjustnent of the latches you only have like a small slot 1"x4"long & at the most 1" to 1 1/2" high for the tool to fit in. We needed a tool that would fit in this area, but also go over the u bolt that had double nuts on it. this 1/2x9/16 offset wrench had just the right amount of bend to fit perfect.I dont think we could of got the job done without it,Well i know we could not have since we tried for two days with every shape and flexable tool anyone sugested. After getting this wrench it took only about ten minutes to do the job.My only regret is that i did not get the whole set of the offset wrenches. Hope this will help some of you save alot of time with your projects.
