Good drill bit set at good price

Put the drill bits right to work finding that they did the job quite well. Of course the test will be if they are durable, but past from past experience they should be. Nicely packaged.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great Drill Bit Set

Someone at Craftsman was smart when they decided to offer only half a set of drill bits, and in cobalt, too. My original Craftsman drill bit set was looking awfully sad, with most of my smaller bits broken. I went to Sears with the intention of replacing my bits individually, but when I saw this set, it was the perfect solution. It replaced all of my broken and worn bits and I only had three doubles when I was done. The new bits are stronger and work amazingly well on metal. I highly recommend these to supplement or replace your worn, missing or broken drill bits.

Great Bits, But Brittle

Cobalt bits seem to be the only bits that will actually drill into/through metal.  They also last longer, as long as they don't break.  YOU WILL break alot of Cobalt bits, especially the smaller ones.  They are very brittle!!! The bits are best used in a press, if not the breakage will be very depressing, since they are not inexpensive.  If yo want bits that drill into/through material, these are the ones.  Even at the price, they are more economical than HSS, black oxide etc, garbage that can be purchased.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great selection of drill bits

Great marketing idea! Most holes I drill require a bit 1/4" or smaller. And the smaller the size, the more likely the bit is to break. In years gone by when I wanted to replace a broken 5/32" bit, I had to buy a single one at an outrageous price, or buy a set of bits, the smallest being 5/64". You won't believe how many 3/8" bits I have. Sears has recognized the problem and is now packaging 13 bits starting at 1/4" and going smaller. What took retailers so long to come up with such a simple idea? And the bits themselves are excellent. (And Sears didn't pay me to write this :-) )
