Craftsman Professional  25927 Vibrafree™ 2.7 amp Corded 5'' Random Orbit Sander with CDS Dust Collection

Should have had this sander in my hands five years ago! I have three other sanders and this one, by far, outshines the others by mega-watts of light. One of my others is a craftsman and it destroyed my hands!

Dust collector is the main reason that I purchased this item. It does keep the dust generated by the sander to a minimum. It also has an adapter which can be connected to a shop vac

sander is great but the limited supply of "anti-vibe" sandpaper is a concern. I was able to find additional sandpaper through Rockwell

Great tool, saves time and combined with a vacuum almost no dust cleanup. But when it comes to purchasing replacement sanding discs, good luck. Sears only offers 2 or 3 choices with fine grits, no coarse grits!!!

I have arthritis very bad, and this sander makes it a lot easier on my hands.If you need a very good sander this is it. Does a wonderful job. Discs are hard to find, unless you go to Woodcraft store. Item #412440 60 grit. Have all grits online.I saw one review that stated if you have health issues you do not need to use tools anyway. Mine started in Vietnam.

this thing took a lot of brain power to figure out and it worked. I sanded the work bench I recently built and it did a great job.

By far the best orbital sander I have ever owned and I have been a woodworker for some 40+ years.  I love the way it sands without leaving any sanding marks.  I have not yet tried to buy any sandpaper for it.  I hope I will be pleasantly surprised, but I anticipate a rather hefty price for these unusual sanding discs.

Able to use this sander over head for an extended period of time. Worked well with little vibration. Did not make your hand go numb :)

Best rotary sander I have ever used. Have just stripped and sanded 120 linear feet of teak toe rail on a boat with a shop vaccuum attached to this ratory sander. Using 60, then 120, then 180 and 220 grit sandpaper, virtually no sanding dust went overboard into the water (a EPA fine may resuld). Due to the effcient vaccuum function, the paper is slow to load up with sand dust, resulting in the paper lasting much longer than typical. After hours of use the hand fatigue was minimal, due to the balanced effect, decreased vibration of this sander: a great improvement over other rotary sanders.

if your looking for a vibration free sander that is comfortable to hold and use, this is it. it looks great, is well built, and performs much better then expected. i've owned half a dozen other sanders, and they don't come close to this one. on the downside, sears doesn't carry the 80 grit replacement pads in their stores !!!! you have to order them online and pay for shipping. since it uses special pads, one for the outer ring that spins in one direction, and one for the center, spinning in the opposite direction, generic pads won't fit. (try ordering Rockwell, (google it) as they make the same exact sander and pads, and you can get the pads easier and cheaper) another downside is the hook and loop pads don't hold to the outer ring after extended use...i ended up buying another sander because the replacement parts and shipping would have been almost as much as a new unit.. haven't tried the vacuum attachment yet, but look forward to using it, as the dust level is extreme !! i am refinishing the outside of an entire house (cedar shingles) so it is a large job....still, overall i would recommend it because it is by far the best i've used over the years..
