I've had this sander/grinder for about a year, and I have been very pleased with it. I bought it primarily to use with my shrinking disc as my old grinder didn't have the RPM to make the shrinking disc efficient. I haven't used the included grinding disc, but I have used sanding discs as well as the shrinking disc mentioned, and I have been pleasantly surprised at how well this tool performs. It is well-balanced, and has loads of torque so it doesn't bog down when you "lean into it". I really like the long heavy-gauge power cord. Overall fit & finish of the tool is at least on-par with any of the "premium" brands that often have a lot of brand-loyalty associated with them. Bearings seem very smooth, unlike cheaper tools I've used. This grinder seems to be very well-made. If I had one complaint, it's that the handle that attached close to the spindle is a little closer down to the wheel than I'd prefer. Some sanding discs (and the shrinking disc mentioned above) require you to run the tool without the guard. So when I'm wearing heavy gloves, I have to be very careful of where my hand is. It's not bad, but it would be nice if the handle threaded into the case about 1/4 or 3/8 inch higher.

I have found this grinder to be able to take heavy daily use. It is both economical and reliable, which are features I expect with the Craftsman name.

I would recommend this grinder to anyone who is looking for a tough yet inexpensive tool. I have used this tool for both masonry and metal grinding. The motor is very powerful and durable. I have yet to find a job to tough for it. The only thing that would make this grinder perfect would be a carrying case.
