Serious Tool for Heavy Duty

I bought this today to use to remove a deck build on a flat roof.  I had to cut off the flooring planks and remove the two by twelve?s that were bolted onto the house.  I anticipated that removing everything would take at least three days.  I finished in less than two hours!  This saw made short work of everything and anything in its way.  I mean beams were two 20 foot long 2x12 of pressure treated lumber nailed together, hung in metal brackets and bolted onto the house.  This little gem cut them right off, wood, metal, bolts, nails, and all.  Amazing! I wouldn?t recommend this tool for light jobs as its heavy, loud, and not a delicate cutter. However, if you have serious work to do and need a serious tool, this is the one.  Combine the great price with a craftsman warranty and you got a winner.  One negative is that it is made in china.  I also recommend that you take every precaution with work gloves, safety goggles, and maybe even some earmuffs as you will unleashing some serious power when you turn this baby loose.

Stay away from this tool. Spend the extra and get a Milwakuee

Stay away from this tool.  The blade pop out whenever you do any kind of an angle.

AWESOME!

I bought this after reading a Popular Mechanics article, this saw performed mere points behind the Milwaulkee and is half the price. Cuts wood off pallets in no time.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

A Powerful Recip Saw

Model 27224 is a tough reciprocating saw that can easily drive the longest and coarsest of blades. I have used mine for cutting the tops off of many 4X4 and 6X6 fence posts, and I have used it successfully for a non-conventional application: When excavating for fence posts or a sidewalk, use the coarse blades to cut the 2 or 3 inch roots that may be in the way - it beats only working with an axe or breaker bar. I have a small recip saw that I use for precise remodeling frame modifications. The 27224 has a rotatable cutting head (a scroll saw feature) that may be useful for specialized cuts, and it will clearly takeout essentially any conventional wooden structure,. With hacksaw-type blades, the 27224 will cut through nails easily. This is a large, well-built recip saw.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Good, hefty saw for bigger jobs

Easy to handle, doesn't try to get away from you when in use. I use mine for pruning, and even cutting down smaller trees including the roots where chain saws may not go!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Good saw

The blade holder realease seems a little flimsy but has not failed. Otherwise has a lot of power and has sawed right through anything we have thrown at it.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great saw

Great little saw...good cutting action and sturdy...a bit heavy after a while and it could use a safety button or switch.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
