I use this sander almost every day for a year. It does a great job on wood, drywall or floors. It collects 80-90% of wood dust and 55-60% of the dust if you work on a drywall. Should mention, that if you attach the sander to a shop vacuum you will have a dust-free work area. Very good balancing of the motor. Hands don't get fatigued after 2-3 hours at all. The reason for 4 stars is that after a year the plastic dust bag connection is a bit loose and there is a small dust leak. P.S. It would be good if Craftsman would supply some kind of bag or a box for the tool. I think that for Professional tool it is a necessary addition.

This sander is everything I hoped it would be. It powers through sanding jobs without shaking my hands off, the dust collector connects right up to my shop vac, and the 8 foot cord making moving around much easier than my other sanders do (5-6 ft cords on those). I don't really have any complaints about this sander. I'm 100% happy with it, though I was surprised they didn't at least include a freebie disc of sand paper in the box. Didn't matter since I already had some, but I figured I'd throw it out there so people would know what to expect.

This is the first time I have owned a orbital sander. It is well worth the money and I love the stick on pads. The dust bag works very well and catches almost all the dust with very little getting in the air.

After 6 month of heavy use of this sander I am convinced that this tool is professional grade. I should compliment low vibration that allow me to work 4-5 hours before I feel numbness in my wrists and good dust suction. Additional good feature of this sander is the variable speed which lets you to control how hard and how deep you are sanding. The only suggestion I have is that the tool should come with some kind of bag where you can keep the sander and paper together so you can carry it around.

Orbital sander works very well, however the velcro like fingers which hold the sandpaper to the tool wear down under "professional" use, i.e., average of a couple hours a day, 5 days a week, and that piece part needs to be replaced. Mine lasted a little over one year so it was just beyond the manufacturer's warranty which would have allowed me to just pick up a new sander and hand in the unusable old one; instead I had to use my extended replacement warranty which I originally bought, and they shipped it back for free, but I was without a tool for 2 weeks, and finally they sent a gift card for the original $ amount instead of the tool. Went to use it for the tool, and they were out of stock for the tool. They ordered it and it came in within 3 days, but as a "professional", if I didn't have multiple sanders, I would have been out of business for more than 2 weeks! The weakness of this particular piece part renders this tool to be a handyman's occasional-use tool and doesn't warrant the "professional" label. The other problem it has is the dust catcher bag lasts only a few months before the vibrations of the sander loosen it up to the point where you have to duct-tape it to the sander to keep it from falling off. Those are two major design flaws this sander has.

very happy with this sander, like the fact that you can hook your shop vac to it to keep the dust down.
