Size doesn't always matter

I'm a little like Tim 'The Toolman' Taylor.  I think it is a good idea to hook a Chevy 350 V8 to the household blender to get a little more power.

Sometimes however, I've found that a little finess works better thanbrute force.  This is especially true when working with delicate electronics, etc.  That's where these little pliers come in.  They have all the benefits and advantages of their bigger siblings, but are sized just right for intracate work.  The cushioned handles are nice and I really love the spring loaded design of the jaws.

Try a set out for yourself - you'll appreciate the fact that size doesn't matter.

Pretty useless for "Pro" designation
I got this as a warranty replacement for my old Craftsman 4.5" diagonal cutters which worked great for many years before they wore out. These things are bulky and don't get into the tight spots where you need the small size cutters. The grips are too specifically molded to be able to reach anything but at one angle. Very awkward. But the worst part is that they do not cut all the way to the joint like every other diagonal cutter I have ever seen. They have about 1/16" relieved at the joint end of the cutting surface, so you have to be away from all the way into the cutter or it doesn't cut. This is not the way these kinds of tools are used in the real world. Hopefully, they will be able to exchange it for the old style which is only in the kit of 3 tools (same price as this single tool) when I take it back.

Junk Junk Junk

The "Pro" on the label is laughable unless you are professional sucker. As the other review stated, these cutters are not designed by the rule-book, cutting power is most efficient nearest the joint of all pliers, but these do not have a cutting surface there. In addition to that, if you need to use the tip of them in a tight space, the jaws do not even close at the tip...no cut can be made. I was given these as a gift as part of a 4 piece set with needle nose. bent nose and end nips. They ALL suffer design flaws. The end nips are completely useless, as they do not cut at all due to misaligned jaws, they just mash...not cut. BOTH pair of needle nose (straight and bent) also suffer from misaligned jaws making them useless for precision work. Stay away from these Chinese made insults to the Craftsman name...it used to mean something, but not anymore!

Poor quality

I'm certainly not very rough on tools, but I've gone through 2 of these now. The first one had the cutter area break when cutting moderate-sized wire. The second one had the end of the handle break off when cutting #12 solid wire (the rubber part of the handle extends about 1.5cm past the inner metal part of the handle.... it's not "full tang" like a quality tool would be).. Maybe these diagnoal cutters would be okay for #16 on up wire, but that's not why I bought them.
