I recently purchased the Craftsman Professional 4 in. Bimetal Jigsaw Blades, Wood, 10 TPI, 5 pk set of blades for my Craftsman C3 jig saw. I did not even realize the the teeth were in the oposite direction of my previous jig saw blades, until I read another review on these blades online. I looked and sure enough the teeth pointed down and my standard Craftsman blades that I had before, the teeth pointed up. Both blades were 10TPI. However on the Professional pack of blades that I just purchased, I did notice another big difference.The teeth on the current pack have a bit larger teeth and they are not all the same size as the standard blades. Ok, onto the testing part. I quickly snapped a new blade into my Craftsman C3 jig saw and installed a fully charged lithium ion battery pack into the jig saw and I took out some scrap pieces of 3/4" plywood and drew out some lines and went to cutting. The saw blade cut pretty quick with no binding up or kicking back. My C3 jig sawm operated normally like it had with all of the other Craftsman jig saw blades that I have used before. I then attempted to cut some curves and the blade cut well and did not bind up until I went to make a tight curve cut. I knew this would happen, but want to see how much of an arc I could cut before the blade started binding. The blade cut more of an arc than I thought it would. Then I took some dentional lumber, like 2x4s & 2x8s and made some test cuts with those pieces of lumber. Again, the blade cut quickly and the cutting edge was very smooth. Ok, I played enough with my 1st blade out of the pack and now, it's time to use the blades to finish up on some jibs and shop tool holders that I am building. They look like these blades are going to do what I am needing from them. If they continue to cut like they did during my testing, I may be switching over to the Professional series of these jig saw blades.

Gee, I never realized that this jig saw blade has the teeth going the other direction. It cuts with a downstroke not a upstroke like the other blades I have. It is so weird cutting with this style of blade. It will cut fine , but hold down on the saw or it will push the saw off the surface you are cutting. Can I exchange these blades for the right ones?
