Product Description

This Well-made 5-ft. Black Backwall Organizes Your Tools

This superior, made-to-last Craftsman professional 5-ft. black backwall provides you with a space to hang your tools and keep them organized, clean and ready to use at all times. Simply slip this five-foot long tool wall behind your workbench, and you've created a ton of space for organizing your tools, equipment and accessories. This works fine with almost any five foot long workbench but it's specifically designed for the Craftsman 5 foot workbench or to be bolted to the Craftsman professional wall cabinet.

This attractive 5-ft. black backwall turns your working area into a true workshop with the ability to tailor your peg board to your liking. Because it uses standard pegboard hooks, you can arrange your tools in a variety of ways plus purchase specialty item like shelves or screwdriver holders that fit into the peg board's perforations. It's your shop, so keep it neat, tidy and attractive with this standing tool board.

  • The Craftsman professional 5-ft. black backwall helps you create a wall of tools visible and organized on this sturdy pegboard
  • No need to purchase specialty hangers or hooks because this backwall uses standard pegboard hooks
  • This standing backwall slips nicely behind any five foot long workbench but is made to be compatible with the five foot Craftsman workbench and the Craftsman professional wall cabinet
  • The baked enamel coating is rust resistant and the rugged steel construction of this tool wall makes it a long lasting and valued part of your workshop

Great Match for the Craftsman Bench

I have had this backwall on my Craftsman bench for a few years now and it has held up very well.  I have hung a lot of tools and a couple of wire baskets on it without any sagging or leaning.  It's a perfect match for the bench.  Attaching it to the bench takes some patience as you're dealing with a very heavy object with sharp metal edges.  I had to use gloves and get a friend to help hold it while inserting and tightening the bolts.  The assembled bench and back board are very heavy, so this is definately meant to be a stationary work bench.  The only negative I've noticed is the pegboard hooks tend to fall out when I grab tools because the sheet metal isn't as thick as a regular peg board; but perhaps I just need to find a different type of hook.

pegboard joke
sturdy, looks good...however the pegs supplied for the pegboard are too small; they fall out at the slightest touch. the pegboard is too thin and he holes too large. i went to sears to purchase larger diameter pegs and found sears doesn't even carry them - got them at ********** instead; they are better but not as good as hooks on fiberboard. i have purchased craftsman tools for over 45 years; for sure no testing by real users was done on this product.

5ft. backboard has no possible use.

I have this backboard and can't use it . The metal is so thin that no clips fit it right. Nowhere on line or at sears are there any pegs to fit.

Overall
Fit the bench, sturdy, good-looking, and easy to assemble.

It's a good idea to actually read the instructions -- or else remember to leave the fasteners finger tight until most of the assembly is done. I had to loosen a few bolts to get it square. Beautiful, sturdy, and easy to assemble.

Craftsman Professional 5' Backwall won't fit 8' bench

I bought the 5' back wall for an 8' bench because I was installing cabinets on either side and only needed a backwall for the center 5' section.   However, the 5' backwall is made to only fit the 5' bench.   The 8' backwall is too big for my application.   I returned the unit since it won't fit.   I will build a backwall on the wall between the my cabinets.
