The 12 point hex opening is offset on two of these wrenches which makes for a very thin wall on one side. As such, they will either break, and or expand to the point of being useless and probably bust a knuckle or two in the process. I did order these online, so it was a bit of a pig in a poke. I'm thinking I'll return these, and head to a brick and mortar where I can sort through all of the wrench sets until I find a good one... Or I guess I could put the two bad wrenches to use and see how long they last and get replacements. Maybe the singles are better quality. Either way, I'm not impressed.

Bought the SAE and Metric set, excellent! Well made, tough, well forged, beautiful finish! Hard to beat the value of this set. Made in USA FYI.

I bought these wrenches online thinking that i would be getting the true (usa) craftsman professional wrenches but they were not. I went to the store to return them but then i seen they still have there old stock of the true craftsman professional wrenches but as singles not as a set, so i wanted to exchange them and the person at the store said i couldnt do that.

As stated before, these wrenches really work their best in automotive applications, like intake manifolds, distributor hold downs.......... where the fastener is recessed or hard to get to.

If your are like me when you need a wrench you reach for your trusty combination wrench. Did you know that a combo isn't always the best choice?

Combination Wrenches are great but the are made flat. The twisting action of loosing/tightening a fasteners can sometimes damage the surface around the fastener. That can be bad!

With this great set of Deep Offset Box Wrenches you can securely mount your tool around the fastener while keeping the shaft of the wrench high above the work surface. In some cases this added height will allow you to rotate your wrench farther around (maybe even 360 degrees) so you do not have to remove and re-mount your wrench with every turn.

If you are working with a lot of nuts to install/remove this can be a real time saver!

These wrenches are good quality, added length compared to a normal box end wrench is great for tightening bolts. The off set gives added function for hard to get nuts and bolts. The Internets price is significantly cheaper than the store price. If I had known this prior to purchase, I would have ordered thorough the Internets, especially with the free shipping offer!

This is one of those tools that seems like an ingenious solution to a non-existent problem.  Until you find that the problem exists and it exists on the project you have been assigned to.  A box-end wrench gives you better leverage, a socket on a ratchet gives you better speed.  But you are going to find the fastener some day that is hidden behind other parts and it is in a very low clearance location.  That is the moment that you will say "man, I wish I had an offset box!"

One of the reasons that professional mechanics have so many tools that seem to see such little use is just such situations.  The offset box end wrench needs to be in your toolbox for that moment when you realize that you just can't reach a certain fastener.  These wrenches will make it easy.  Of course, Craftsman quality is unassailable and the warranty absolutely the best.
