Oh, it is so nice to be able to grab onto something that is stuck or needs to be held in place while your other hand does something else! The pliers have made life around the shop and house a little easier by providing that 'third hand' when i need it most!

I should have listened to the other reviewer... This is not the Craftsman Professional series. After calling to complain about my order, I was offered a full refund and an apology. I can't rate this more than 1 star because the description and picture are wrong are clearly wrong. If you're ok with the standard craftsman locking pliers, then this might be a good set for you. Just realize what you're actually getting though before you order it.

Don't let the picture fool you, these are no longer the superb quality pliers designed and manufactured in the U.S.A. by Armstrong Tools, but a chinese knockoff. True, the quality is still decent, very similar design to the originals made by Armstrong, and lifetime warranty. I paid a premium price for an American-designed, American-made tool, which was supposed to support American jobs and manufacturing and last a lifetime. Instead, I got a tool that took an innovative design from one of the best industrial tool manufacturers on the planet and farmed the production overseas. Sears/Apex Tool Group: here's your pliers back. I will gladly pay more to buy American, which means I'm buying the Armstong branded version of these as soon as I get my refund. Add Craftsman to the long list of (formerly) U.S.A.-made tool brands that Danaher/Cooper (now Apex) have shamelessly turned into worthless piles of chinese junk.

Ordered this set of pliers. The pictures and description report that these are Craftsman "Professional" locking pliers. Picture shows that they are made in the USA, but I can't find country of origin in the description anywhere. Anyway, you know how this turns out...I received the regular non-professional made-in-China pliers. Maybe those pliers would've lasted me a long time, but I didn't even take them out of the plastic. (which is why I gave them 3 stars instead of 1). Sending them back.

I started off with the 2-pair set of Craftsman Professional Locking Pliers. They were so useful, I ended up buying this 6-pair set as well. The needle-nose pair has come in especially handy. The cushioned grips on these Craftsman models are great and make them easier to use. The easy-release feature is also awesome compared to standard locking pliers.

Craftsman's Professional Locking Pliers are a must have for any tool box. I can't count how many times these 'Easy Release' locking pliers have saved the day. Many times I've come across a nut, bolt, pipe, etc. that is stripped or strips even when using the correct tool for the job. These pliers have never failed me, and the rubberized handle grip is comfortable, but durable. The adjustment knob works smoothly and is easy to twist to get just the right grip tightness. So, especially when the space is tight and I need a great grip without getting my fingers pinched releasing the tool, I reach for the best locking pliers: the Craftsman Professional Easy Release Locking Pliers!

Great selection of size, and the price is great. The handles make it more comfortable and sometimes less painful. Even get a good grip with oils and grease on the handle.

This 6 pc. for $60 bucks was well worth it by Craftsman. Especially seeing that they are the professional series plus they have rubber cushion grip. Everytime I used my Dad's old locking pliers the handle would dig into my palm and cause undue discomfort. I'm very satisfied with my 6 pc. set.
