This set has it ALL!! This tool is able to check vacuum and bleed brakes.. I like the case it is high impact plastic and has a space to hold all the pieces for this kit.
I am able to check engine vacuum, PCV valves and fuel regulators,as well as EGR valves on vehicles that require it. I like the attachments to automatically fill the brake fluid resevoir while I am bleeding the brakes on any vehicle.
The Instructions are very clear and informative, explaining theories and how to check certain components on the vehicles as well as how to bleed brakes by yourself!!
I bought the Craftman Professional brake bleed kit to a fluid exchange on my F-150 and Toyota Matrix. I heard this kit was just a rebadge of MityVac. Tried to flush out the brake fluid on my f-150 and it took me two days! Here is a short list of problems with this product: 1. Air leaks at all connections 2. None of the fittings fit on the bleeder valve. Cone fitting not rubbery enough to make a good seal. Bleeder connecter is too wide and sucks in air. Hose fitting too stiff and small to attach to the bleeder valve. 3. Lid to catch reservour does not make a complete seal and leaks. 4. Pump not strong enough to pull brake fluid though the lines. 5. Constantly have to hand pump to get any suction. 6. Takes an hour or more per wheel. 7. Have to cut off used section of the hose after each wheel. I will be taking this kit back to Sears in the next day or so to get my money back. For this price even with all the adapters (very skeptical if this kit will work for the other things it says it does) I could got a much better system.

This is basically a Mityvac MV8500 Silverline Elite Automotive Kit... with the Sears/Craftsman name on it. Don't get me wrong- that is not a bad thing! This kit is complete- maybe a little TOO complete, LOL. It has just about everything the home mechanic/DIY'er will ever need to do automotive vacuum and/or pressure testing. Personally, I doubt that I will ever use it to bleed brakes, but that's because I use a home-made pressure flusher/bleeder.

Pump is all metal, comes with plenty of adapters, works as a pump or vacuum pump. Used it to bleed my clutch and worked as I had hoped. Holds pressure or vacuum well. Not really for large systems where a powered pump would be better.

after reading a whole bunch of negative reviews I was skeptical but after I purchased it it works great I bled my breaks and I also replaced the power steering fluid.I wasn't sure how to put it together at first But once I found out the gun went directly into the Reservoir I will seT

The Craftsman Professional Brake Bleeder & Automotive Test Kit one man Brake Bleeding, Vacuum/Pressure Pump over 100 other Tests seems to work pretty good. I only used it once but it did its job. I like that it is a metal pump and not a cheap plastic one.

this tool attaches to the brake caliper bleed valve and creates a vacuum to suck the brake fluid out of the system - if you have ABS brakes, it will not work (but a pressure bleeder which attaches to the fluid reservoir works perfectly) - also this tool creates bubbles in the fluid exiting the caliper because air gets sucked into the fluid around the threads of the bleed valve - thus, the tool is completely useless because you cannot tell if the bubbles you see are coming from your car's breaking system or from the tool - the whole point of a brake fluid flush is to make sure there is no air in the system and with this tool you cannot
Bought this because I am tired of asking someone to help me bleed brakes. Overall, very happy with it, worked great and made quick work of bleeding my brakes by myself. Then I realized you could do a lot of other things, like check vacum, siphon pump, etc... Instructions could be improved upon. It has a nice quality 'feel' to it and fittings/adapters for about any combination you would need.
it is a great tool because it can pull vacuum or produce pressure. it is ideal for troubleshooting emission troubles and of course bleeding brakes.
