I had gotten one of these for Father's day and it quit working after a while. I took it back and got it replaced. A few months later the replacement quit working. Sometimes it would work for half a tube of grease (used on a tractor and loader), but it would take an hour of messing with it to get it primed and working. TThen it would only feed half a tube. I could have been done in half the time with a hand grease gun. I would advise against buying this one. Even at half the price it isn't worth it.

I'm glad I made a spur of the moment decision to purchase this, instead of my normal review based shopping. I screwed in a fitting, connected the included whip hose, and dropped a cartridge of grease in. Expecting at least a little frustration priming, I was pleasantly shocked when it immediately primed after only a couple of seconds. Gun seems to be well designed, and despite it's China origins, well assembled. My air drop is 1/2" line, with my drop's regulator set at 90 psi.

I purchased this grease gun last fall before harvest to spead up greasing our equipment. Speed it up it did. A job that used to take between 30 minutes to 1 hour took about 15 minutes. Even gearboxes were filled fast, roughly 30 seconds per tube of grease.

I have gone thru no less than 6 of these craftsman grease guns in the past 2 years. I am not a dummy when it comes to tools, but these guns will drive you nuts. I started out with the $29 one and now I am on my 3rd hd continuous gun. I have wasted more grease than I have used from these guns. I followed the directions and also went on line for feedback. Still problems to get in to work continuously. I do not understand why the center rod will go up the cylinder, but the plunger, oval piece, will not push the grease. The one I am using now worked when I put it away, however I will know better when I go to use it again.

To sum up why im taking the time to write this review about this product is that it SUCKS!!!!!!!!! I bought this because i thought it would be easier the hand pumping boy was i wrong. Im a trailer chassis mechanic for a rail yard and i use quite a bit of grease throught my day and hand pumping was getting old and stinks when you have a stubborn grease zert. So i had the bright idea to buy this tool and use it, well i did and the first day i use it i get it to work seemed fine, disconnect it from the air line go to ise it 20 minutes later and nothing! wouldnt prime wouldnt pump wouldnt do a **** thing. so i spent the next 45 minutes trying to get it working again but to no avail. so i take it back hopping it was just a faulty gun. get the new gun got it to work, worked great was so easy to use, for about 10 minutes. piece of ************ shooting grease all of a sudden, thought i was out but there was plenty left in the tube, then the motor would just accuate for no reason when i pulled on the trigger and let go. So i strongly recommend that if you want a good grease gun thatll get alot of use invest in a battery operated gun itll save you lots of time and trips to sears to return thier piece of **** and poorly designed so called PROFESSIONAL grease gun.

I follow the instructions to the letter and it is a constant battle to keep it primed. I generally can only use half a tube of grease because the plunger sticks or there is not enough spring pressure to push the grease to the end. If it worked as advertised there is no argument, it would be perfect. Not worth all the trouble it has caused. I spend more time messing with the grease gun than actually greasing. I have never tightened the barrel of the grease gun with anything outer than my had and it is now stripped. I am also very disappointed it is only warrantied for a year. Smart move for Craftsman!

The gun was constantly hanging up right out of the box and being a millwright and machinist I tore the thing apart and after deburing a couple of pieces I got it to work correctly. The thing is also hard to charge and purge the air out of. The charging handle should lock into the piston to help push the grease up the tube like my manual grease guns do. Other than that is pumps guite well now...
