Well built, USA made

Great set of crimpers. Very well built and, I am proud to see that they are made in the USA. They are a good size for getting leverage when crimping.

Has everything.

The electrical tool can do just about any operation an electrician might need. Well-built. Padded handles that stay on. Professional-grade. The screw-cutting feature is more handy than you might think. I keep long screws around, and cut short as needed. Better than having screws too short.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

USA Made As of 11/28/13

Great pair of pliers, they don't have the clippers at tip which is sometimes nice in certain situations. It is also setup with a few more splicing options that most other standard crimpers and cutters. All around rugged, and best of all American made quality.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Replaced my old non professional set

This pair of strippers/crimpers is much sturdier than the regular craftsman set. I was impressed at how much better the stripping teeth were too! not off center and actually cut the wire sheath instead of gripping into and pulling it off,

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Overall
This tool fails every test. Stripping cutters do not meet.

I bought this tool to set up another tool box for my cottage. This tool failed to perform basic wire stripping in all gauges from 22 to 10 and the front end pliers don't meet at the tip so it is difficult to grip smaller objects with any significant force. The reason for these problems seems to be that the cutter and anvil protrude too far into the center of the pliers and this throws off the entire tool. I could probably file them down a few thousandths and resharpen and this might remedy the situation but it shouldn't be necessary to rework a new Craftsman tool.

I also bought the Craftsman #82563 wire cutter/crimper and these work perfectly. The #82563 feels much better in my hand due to its longer grip and firmer plastic as opposed to the foam grips on the #45749. The #45749 wire strippers just do not have the feel of a high quality tool.
