The light was difficult to keep pointed at the work, especially under a dash. Too much light emitting from the sides and glaring back in your face. Then the light quit working completely. Returned it to Sears and after some spirited discussion, was able to convince the salesperson to exchange it for a different model (73954).

Overall this is a good reel but has a few negatives. The ceiling mount leaves a little to be desired. The stopper on the cord slides so easy it moves when you put it away. Mine isn't falling apart like other have said and I don't go easy on things. I also wish the cord was a little longer so I can go anywhere in my garage with it. For the price you can't go wrong, just compare it to other brands like reel craft. Also major plus is the cord housing is actually metal!!! I don't think it is "Professional" quality, but is great for a home owner that works on cars, atvs, ect.

Cord reel did not work after only a few uses. When trying to feed cord into the reel, the whole unit fell on our car and dented the roof and cracked the windshield. Let's see if Sears stands behind their products...UNHAPPY!

While this worked great for a little while, the plastic hanger broke, and then the thinig was near useless, seems to always roll to find my eyes looking at it for bad glare, turns itself off with ****** placement of the switch. I have now switched fo a tradiional cage lamp with a Compact Florscent in it for shockproof and less heat, lower energy. that works pretty well, however it rolls and does not have magnet. Shopping for a cage lamp that has a square cage to keep it from rolling and maybe a magnet.

This light is a must have to keep the cords off of the floor. This light is very good for the price. The plug receptacle is in the optimal position at the end next to the cord. We have one of these in each garage bay at work and they last for two to three years of everyday use. After about three years, the cord broke at the strain relief on one and we just installed a female receptacle, so now we just have retractable extension cord. With ocasional use at this light should last a long time. We used a heavy duty plastic zip tie and electrical tape to keep the adjustable stop in place.

The best drop light I have ever owned... 5 years now. Mine has been dropped many times and the original bulb is still working. The light is cool (unlike incandescent), and has a broad pattern (unlike LED). It is narrow enough to slide into nooks and crannies. It is versatile with it's hook and magnet mounts. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I will have to pay the full price of $54 for my second one (I usually wait for sales :) Highly recommended over incandescent and LED lights.

I WAS ABLE TO LOCATE A REPLACEMENT 13W 2PIN BULB FROM WW GRAINGER. PART #1PGU3. I REMOVED THE RUBBER ISOLATOR AT THE TOP OF THE LIGHT. NEW BULB SNAPS IN VERY TIGHT AND PRODUCES MORE LIGHT.

This light is horrible. I have used it in a garage and I have replaced it so many times I can't count. Sears people have been great but the light stinks. for one , once the cover falls off you can loose the plastic clip that holds the bulb in place. once that happens then kiss your bulbs good bye. the cord is not as strong as it should be. the retractable cord doesn't always stop where its suppose to. The power plug on the unit doesn't always work. You have to keep pulling the cord to make it work. It needs to stop at a certain location for the plug to work. Its not worth the money.

The light itself is pretty decent, but when the bulbs burn out Sears can't get more. Bad parts support for an otherwise decent product.
